I'd never thought that he'd fall in love
with me.
I never thought that he'd always want to be
with me.
Never thought I'd mean so much
to him,
So much that he'd one day he'd say
"Not being with you is something that would not only hurt me,
But internally kill me."
One day I would have to go far away.
Far away, leaving everything great behind.
So far away that he'd decide to leave me,
And find someone better than me.
Someone who would always be there with him,
Someone who would never leave him.
Someone he can always look upon,
Someone who would never let his heart down.
Someone who would never go far away,
Someone who would always love him.
One final time I look back at him,
only reassuring that,
No matter how far I might be,
I will always love him.
It will internally kill me,
But still flash a broken smile and think,
At least she did something I couldn't do for him.
