Yejun's phone rang. He went to the dresser to get it. His eyebrows furrowed as he picked up, "Yeo... boseyeo?"

I sat on his bed and took my phone out. I've never been on Wattpad in mad long. "Umma?!" My head snapped up to Yejun as he began to pace. What happened to his mom? Suddenly, his phone dropped.

Silence.

His hands slowly covered his eyes as he fell on his knees. I was instantly at his side. "Ye-"

"Len... Please leave..." He whispered.

"Yejun what h-"

"Leave!" He yelled as he pushed me away. My back hit the wall as he stared at me with tear filled eyes. "Please..."

The back of my head hurt like fuck, why would he do that?! "Yejun, why would y..." I hissed and felt the back of my head.

"She's dead." He sobbed, "She's dead." My heart throbbed in my chest as tears ran down my cheeks. I was afraid to go by his side, but I didn't want him to suffer alone. "Yejun..." I sobbed, "It'll be o-"

He screamed at me in Korean as he got up. Should I leave? Leaving him alone would be horrible, even this happened to me, I would want him to stay with me. "Jeol iga!" He sobbed, "jeol iga Len..."

"L-let me stay with you." I whispered as I wiped my tears, "You can't go t-"

"Oh my God!" He yelled, "Why won't you leave?! You're so annoying, I'm telling you to get the fuck out and you're still here! Leave!" I stared at him in utter shock. The hurt was real. More tears welled as I let them fall. We stared at each other, but I knew I wasn't staring at Yejun.

His eyes were different. These eyes looked just like the ones I first met.

He's shutting me out.

Yejun's breathing became heavier as I softly nodded.

"Okay Yejun..."

Monday morning, I received my new schedule. It said I have Taekwondo Monday, Wednesday and Friday before lunch. I checked my phone, hoping the texts I sent last night were answered. Still nothing.

He lost his mother, his role model. How else would he react? I felt my heart pang at his anguish. He lost his mother. His mother. His role model. She's everything to him, and he lost her.

I stared back at my phone. Should I text him again? Would I seem annoying? I should give him his space.

'Yejun if you need me, I'm here for you. I love you.'

I'll see him later on today, it'll be okay.

"His mother passed..." I muttered as we walked up the stairs. Kat gasped and grabbed my arm. Her eyes became puffy and I shook my head. "Honestly... I don't think he'll be here." We went to the 1046 gym, and sure enough, he wasn't.

Once everyone was there, the dean told us not to change into our gym uniform.

"Everyone... I have an announcement. Mr. Min will not be in for the next three weeks, so we will have substitute teachers come in."

Three weeks? Three weeks?! The class was surprisingly silent. I expected them to be cheering, but nobody was.

"What happened?" asked Darren.

The dean, Mr. Giovanni, cleared his throat. "His mother passed away. He has to help with funeral arrangements back in South Korea." Gasps echoed throughout the gym and Mr. Giovanni sighed.
