Sirus ♡

There she goes. It's like everything stops once she walks down the hallways. The whole school adores her and some even look up to her. Her name is Desire Wright. She has soft chocolate brown skin, a smile that could light up the whole room, and beauty that no one can match. Why would she want me if she has every other guy swooning over her?

"You better stop staring at her before you drool on yourself." My best friend Diante's voice interrupted me.

I shook my head.

"Leave me alone." I waved him off continuing staring at Desire who's talking to her best friend Mya.

"I'm surprised she hasn't noticed you staring at her yet. You do it everyday." Diante said with a laugh.

I rolled my eyes. "You have to admit she's the most beautiful girl in school." I told him waving him off.

"I mean she's cute and all but she's too smart for me." He said making me chuckle.

"How is she too smart for you?" I questioned him.

"She's too smart to fall for my tricks to get her into my bed. Her friend Mya on the other hand is dumb as a load of bricks." He said looking over at Mya.

I shook my head.

Diante is what you would call a man thot. He likes to mess with every female that's stupid enough to give him a some. He would never commit to anybody. I honestly don't even understand how we're even friends. We're total opposites of each other. He's a little on the slow side, he's a player, rude sometimes, and can be full of himself. I am more on the sweet side, I'm a loyal person, I'm really smart, and I care about others feelings.

"When will you learn that playing with female's hearts isn't funny?" I asked him taking my eyes off Desire for a second.

"When I can actually meet a female who isn't willing to give it up." He said shrugging his shoulders.

I turned my eyes back to Desire and scolded when I seen the huge jock, Mathew, with his arm around her waist.

"Looks like someone is making their move on Desire before you." Diante said with a smirk on his face.

Out of anger I pushed him out of my way and began walking to class before the final bell ranged.

"Don't get mad at me because you ain't got game." I heard Diante say from behind me.

Once first block was over I was relieved because I couldn't stand my teacher in that class.

Next class I have is speech class. I don't enjoy this class at all because I'm not a talking kind of person and they make us give speeches. The teacher is cool though and I have this class with Desire.

Once I reached the door to go into class I noticed Desire dropped something onto the ground.

I picked it up and it happened to be a piece of paper. I thought it would be weird if I looked in it so I didn't.

"Desire, you dropped this." I said as she almost walked into the classroom.

She stopped walking and turned around.

"Thanks." She said grabbing the paper and showing me that beautiful smile that I just love.

I smiled to myself before following her into class.

She sat in the front row as usual and I sat in the back.

"You can take your eyes off of her now." I heard my friend, Mila, say from beside me.

"Hey, Mila. Where have you been? Your boyfriend was looking for you." I said referring to Diante.

Mila is a close friend of mine and she use to date Diante. They never really got along but somehow they made it work for six months before they broke up. That was the only time Diante was in a relationship and probably his first one too. Diante took it serious though and he was actually loyal to her. They still haven't told me why they broke up but they'll probably be together again in the future.

Mila rolled her eyes. "He is not my boyfriend." She replied back.

"Yeah, if you say so." I said looking over at Desire who's passing notes to Mya.

"Why do you keep staring at that girl instead of manning up and asking her out?" Mila asked me playing with her long fingernails.

"I'm a dork, Mila. She's probably gonna think it's a joke and laugh at me." I told Mila.

Mila shook her head. "I must admit you kind of are a dork but in a cute way though." She stated.

"Thanks, I guess." I replied back.

The room suddenly got quiet once our teacher walked in the center of the room and began talking.

"Okay class, today we will be giving our speeches on why it's important to save the environment. Desire Wright, you'll go first." She told us gesturing for Desire to come up to the front.

Everyone clapped for her.

She has a huge smile on her face as she stands in front of class and began her speech.

I hanged onto every word she said.

"And that's why it's very important to save our environment." She finished it off making everyone clapped.

I clapped the loudest on purpose and she sent me a smile.

Mila started laughing at me but I didn't care though.

Everyone else breezed through their speeches leaving me to be the last person called up.

"Sirus Simmons." The teacher called my name and I stood up.

I could feel my heart pumping hard. I hate when everyone's eyes are on me. Once I reached the front of the class and everyone's eyes were on me I felt like running and hiding somewhere.

I then began my speech but I spoke kind of quiet with my head down.

"Can you speak up?" A student asked making me nod my head.

I spoke louder but when I did I kept stuttering. It was the most embarrassing moment of my life. I don't even want to look up at Desire's face that's how embarrassed I am.

Once I was finished I heard a few claps and I began walking to my desk.

"You did really good." Desire said patting my back as I walked past her.

That made me feel a hundred times better.

I walked back to my seat with a smile on my face.

"You're such a dork." Mila said making us both laugh.

"Whatever."
