I'm afraid.
Afraid the world's going to change.
That the people I knew, would go away.
That they would leave me.
That the wind will no longer blow,
The water won't flow,
That the sound of footsteps won't be the same,
That everything we once knew,
Won't be the same.
The future will be filled with mystery,
Everything lies and fiction,
The place I once loved,
Will disappear,
And I fear,
That I won't know anything.
Plastering smiles onto my face,
Having fun,
Laughing,
Not knowing the terror,
That awaits.
Not knowing the real world,
Not knowing the truth,
Is the thing that I fear.
Being so blind, I can't see the sour colors around me,
Being so deaf, I can't hear the insults,
Being so mute, I can't say the truth,
And when the time comes,
The fear in me,
Would grow and grow,
Until I feared death.
