"Hey, you don't have be shy!" he said as he moved his hand to lift her chin and make her look up at him. Angelica now got a full view of him.

Max was a really cute boy with messy brown hair that fell over his eyes that shone pale blue. He had a small dimple when he smiled and a sharp nose.

Every feature of his was dominant and clear cut. He was so cute and handsome and built-up with a tall structure that if he wanted any girl, he could have her. Yet he chose to sit beside her right now.

"So what's your name?" He asked again as he was unable to hear her name the previous time. "My name is Angelica." She said, her voice sounding a little bold than before. "Well Angelica, I must say you are a very beautiful girl... How come I've never seen you around?" He questioned and Angelica realised that the swings were now in the alternate motion.

But she shook her head and she paid attention to his voice. Well, as a cat, she gets distracted very easily. "Well, I stay a lot at home... I hardly ever come out." She admitted.

Her voice was soft as silk and she could not make it dominating as she was a shy cat. She couldn't talk straight when it came to strangers. In fact no one had seen the real side of her.

"Oh, so if I say that there is fair that has been put up tomorrow, would you like to come with me?" He asked sincerely as he drove his hand through the hair. Angelica stared at him, wide-eyed.

What did he just say? Did Max just ask her out? By the look she gave him, he continued "I mean my friends are gonna be there... So would you join us?" He asked, a little hesitantly. He was scared that she might reject him.

She tried to calm down for her heart was beating too fast. He just asked her out.

This is the first person who has ever even talked to her so nicely and even ended up asking her out. This was so great for Angelica.

But she had to ask her parents first for they did care about her a lot. And they were so protective about her that they would first look at her safety. They wouldn't want to see her broken in any way.

"I could... But I'll have to ask my parents first..." She admitted with a small smile. "Oh, but where are your parents?" Angelica pointed towards the window where her parents sat, waiting for the bill.

"Ok, come! Let's ask them!" He grabbed her hand and pulled her along to meet her parents.

He was way more excited than she is even though it was supposed to be the other way round.

"Mom? Dad?... This is Max. I just met him on the playground... And he has something to ask you both." Angelica spoke adorably and the moment she was done, her parents turned to the cute boy standing next to her, holding her hand.

"Hello Ma'am! Hello Sir! I just wanted to ask if Angelica could come with us to the fair which is held tomorrow?" He asked, his voice quivered a bit in nervousness. "Well, nice to meet you, Max... But can you tell us, who is the 'us'?" her father asked inquisitively.

"Well, they are my friends..." He let out boldly. Laura and Tom both turned to their daughter. "Kitty, do you really want to go?" Her mother asked. Her head bounces up and down innocently, like a little girl. Laura sighs.

Truthfully, she didn't want to let her go. What if something happens to her? What if someone kidnaps her? What if she gets hurt? What if they leave her and she gets lost? There were too many possibilities to risk but Laura knew that kitty could handle herself.

She has done before and she has proved it. But Laura just didn't want to lose her. Plus kitty has had a lot of torture in her previous life and she did deserve some fun.

They could probably go as a family but this was her baby's first friend. She deserved to get to know them.

Laura could feel all three of their eyes on her, waiting for her decision. She let a sigh escape again. "Ok, you can go... But, she has to be safe. Max, do you promise?" Max nods.

"I promise that I will keep her safe." When Laura nods, he turns to Angelica. "So I shall see you soon... We all are meeting at the entrance at 7 o'clock. Come on time, ok?"

And Angelica nods excitedly with a smile.

"Bye!" He shouted as he left the restaurant and Angelica waved as he disappeared. "I think it's time we go home too. We have had a wonderful time today as a family, haven't we?" Tom asked as both her parents got up.

Oh, Angelica couldn't agree less...
