Your phone buzzed then.

Alright, I gotcha!

Looking back up, you could see Scotty starring at you from inside his room. An innocent smile was spread on his face, then he flirtatiously winked at you before pulling the dark colored fabric across his window, blocking the world out.

Turning to your phone again, you began to type.

Thank you! You’re the best <3

Climbing off your bed, you began to head out of your room, until you felt your phone buzz in your hand.

I know (;

"So Alana, tell us more about your boyfriend?". She looked down towards her hands resting on her lap. “well his name is Zac" she began, smiling at the thought of him. “we met at a football game" she looked up at the crowd of family members staring at her. “just picture this, a girl simply talking to her friends, and suddenly getting practically tackled to the floor" she laughed. “he tackled you?" you said barely above a whisper, she nodded. “and the first thing he said to me was ‘are you a magnet? Cause i’m attracted to you’" she laughed once more. “how long have you two been dating?" Aunt Erin suddenly asked, “not long, but it feels like it’s been years" she sighed a happy sigh. “ugh, i think i’m gonna puke" your cousin Dylan called out. Everyone in the room laughed, including yourself. “alright, i think it’s time for us to go to dinner" your dad spoke up, everyone in the room got up and began to head for the door.

You looked towards Alana, who still had that cheesy smile on her face. “i’ll want to hear the rest of that story, sweetheart" your grandma softly said, as you walked behind the two. “don’t worry grandma, i’ll tell you everything" Alana said softly, as she linked her arm with the older woman and headed out the door.

Taking a seat, at the end of the long table in the Chinese restaurant, you couldn’t help but glance around at the elegant room. “jeeze for the amount of customers they get, couldnt they decorate this place better?" Callie scoffed as she took a seat across from you. “Callie!" you scorned as you glared at her. “what this place is tacky!" she said, quite loudly. With that you didn’t say a single word, as you just looked around the building.

"You’re here! Glad you could make it!" you heard your mom call from the other end of the table. Looking over you found Mr. & Mrs. McCreery standing there, smiling at your parents. Behind them stood Ashley and Scotty. “well thank you for inviting us!" Mrs. McCreery said sitting down across from your mom, while Mr. McCreery sat down next to her. “Scotty, I’m sure there is an empty seat down there by (yourname)" you heard your dad say. Turning your gaze towards Scotty, you found a wide smile on his face, as he walked around the table and walked past your family members till he got to you.

With a happy smile you stood up and hugged him tightly, he laughed softly, as he held you there. “i’m glad to see you, she’s already driving me insane" you whispered “i can tell" he softly spoke just before pulling away. He then took a seat, and quickly looked at Callie, who was smirking at him, then turned his body slightly in your direction.

A waitress soon came around with menus and passed them out among the large group.

"what are you gonna get?" you asked, turning towards Scotty. His eyes scanned over the words, as his eyebrows scrunched up in concentration. “I’m not sure, what about you?" he turned and looked at you. You looked back at your menu. “i’m thinking i’ll go with some lo mein". “that sounds good, i think i’ll get that too" he said, setting his menu down. Before you could speak, you were interrupted by Callie, who loudly smacked her menu down against the table. “i think I’m gonna get Malatang" she simply stated, as she only looked at Scotty.

Looking back at Scotty, you just gave him a smile as he was already looking at you.

Scotty’s POV

The waitress placed the plate of Lo Mein in front of him. He instantly reached out for the fork, but then out of habit he turned and looked towards (yourname). Her fingers tightly held the chopsticks in between her fingers, as they dipped into the plate of noodles. He turned back and grabbed the small package of chopsticks right next to his silverware. Opening then up he placed them in his hands, just as (yourname) did, then he dipped them into the noodles.

It was a lot harder than it looked, as the noddles just slipped out of the wooden sticks. He heard the soft giggle next to him, he turned and found her eyes smoldering into his. “here let me help you" she set down her chopsticks and reached for his hand. She adjusted the sticks and then guided his hand, helping him grasp the noddles in between the sticks, then lifting them up. He quickly stuck the sticks in his mouth, getting the noddles before they could fall. “there you go" she said happily, as she pulled her hand away. “thanks" he slowly said. He could feel Callie’s fiery gaze on them, but he didn’t care.

Taking the final sip from his glass of water, he placed it down by his empty plate, and leaned back in his chair. He glanced over at (yourname), who was still working on eating her noodles. He found it almost fascinating how she would eat some noodles, take a sip of water, then wipe her face off with her napkin, and then would repeat the whole process. There was just something about this girl. She could do almost anything and he could just sit there and watch her for hours.

He guessed she could feel his gaze on her, because she slowly turned and looked at him as she took a sip of water. In that moment he felt a foot touch his leg. A smile spread on his face, thinking nothing of the gesture, as he continued to watch her eat. But then it continued for a minute or so, and he felt an uncomfortable feeling build inside him.

Slowly he leaned in towards her ear. “are you touching me with your foot?" he whispered. She turned and gave him a confused look “no" she simply said. And with that Scotty shot up in his chair. “i’ll be right back" he spoke quickly, then walked away from the table.

Your POV

"that was weird" you mumbled, as you turned back towards your plate of food. “well look at that". Looking up towards Callie, you found her with a smirk laced onto her lips. “what?". “looks like I’m able to get your boyfriend more excited than you can" she stated, smirk growing wider. “what do you mean by that?" you set down your chopsticks, as you leaned in towards her. She leaned over the table slightly. “i can satisfy your boyfriend more than you can, just by simply playing footsy with him".

You opened your mouth to say something, but Scotty came back to the table then. “so what did i miss?" he asked, taking a seat. “oh nothing" Callie said, sitting back as she picked up her glass. “yeah nothing" you quietly said, as you turned and looked at Scotty.

Grabbing your laptop off your desk, you walked over to your little bed on the floor and climbed in between the blanket. Opening it up the screen lit up and instantly showed your facebook newsfeed. Callie walked into the room then. She turned off the light and completely ignored your presence as she walked over to your bed, climbing in between the covers.

Rolling your eyes, your rolled over and placed our laptop on the floor next to your head, and you began to scroll through your feed.

It was barely five minutes before you were sleeping like a rock with your hand still on the keys of your laptop.
