Christmas Eve is coming soon,
with some so excited
they could leap over the moon,
but how do I feel?
I don't really know.
Maybe I'm bored
'cause we're missing the snow?
It could be that,
though Christmas is near,
not a single flake
has fallen this year,
but this shouldn't affect
Christmas trees so tall,
or the carols
being sung by all.
Maybe this year
I simply don't care.
About ribbons, nor bows,
nor the chill In the air.
But I am looking foward
to that big present stack,
so maybe my Christmas was somehow pushed back?
My Christmas just might
be in April instead,
with sugar plums having
been tossed out my head,
but really, where did
my Christmas feeling go?
Maybe it will come back
for some hot cocoa.
