rolling over I check my phone. Bryson Tiller's Exchange blares through my speakers as my phone vibrates. irritated from being woken up out of my peaceful sleep I sigh and pick it up. I role my eyes at the caller ID, only Chris would wake me up this early on the weekend. my hands slide over the green button as I answer
"what do you want Maurice?" I ask, joke annoyance in my voice
"I don't like your tone" chris's laughs, mocking my moms voice. she would say this all the time when I was a teenager because I had "attitudes"
laughing I continue "yeah yeah, you still haven't answered my question"
"where aug?" he asks
"right here"
"tell that nigga to wake the hell up and come down to the studio, I finished my verses for been around the world and I want him to hear them"
"stop yelling" I sigh "and hold on"!
putting my phone down I turn around to face August "baaaby" I call, he doesn't budge. I try to shake him but still nothing. climbing ontop of him and straddling him he moves a little. leaning down to kiss him, his eyes pop open
"good morning baby" I smile "Chris's wants you to come down to the studio and hear his verse for been around the world, can I come?" I smirk
"nooooo, I told you its a surprise" he smirked back. lightly moving under me. "you have to wait like any other fan"
"that's not fair" I roll my eyes
"life's not fair" he kisses me cheek. "I should be back later, ill text you" grabbing his shirt he slips it over his head putting it on.
"before you go I have something to tell you" I bite my lip. moving my legs to sit criss-cross apple sauce I scoot towards him. Taking a deep breath I continue
"I started taking my birth control again" I look at him to see his reaction. he almost looks pained.
"why?" he asks, trying to be hard. I can see he's hiding his emotions
"baby tell me what you're thinking please, don't hide from me" I plead
"I thought we both wanted a baby Marian damnit,I mean I kno we dun had our ups and downs in this relationship or whatever but I thought we agreed on this shit man. When I was on tour and you told me a nigga was jumping for joy and shit" he ran his hands through his hair getting upset
"August this is what I was going to talk about you, since last night happened and we talked about trust I'm telling you. Don't get upset with me. This relationship is a two way street"
"we'll talk about this when I get home man. I don't have time. bye" with that he leaves the room leaving. how is he going to get mad at me for looking out for us? we're not ready for a child. especially before marriage. running my hands over my face I remember Chris is on the phone
"My bad Chris I forgot you were still on the phone" I sigh, somewhat embaressed
"Its fine baby, you alright?" he asks sympathy in his voice
"yeah I'm fine. Ill call you later, I'm going back to sleep"
"k, love you" I can imagine him smiling now
"love you more" I grip my phone and place it back on the dresser gently muting it. Laying down and grabbing my blanket tightly I fall back asleep
Chris pov : STUDIO
waiting for august to get here I get on twitter. scrolling through my TL I see TeamBreezy is more than ready for Royalty and I cant wait to release it. Most of the album is done, I just need a few finishing touches. TeamBreezy is going to love it I already know. continuing to scroll I nod my head to the beat that's being played. since the album is already somewhat freaky I decide to keep that route. grabbing a piece of paper and pencil I take in the music and jot down some lyrics I think would match. I grin as I think of team breezy's reactions
"I like this" I smirk continuing to nod my head, looking up at Jhawk. The producer that's helping me write Royalty
"what you smirking at nigga?" he laughs
"just these lyrics I'm writing" I laugh back, continuing to write down lyrics. My hands fall across the paper as the music flows out.
"Spin the instrumental for me one time when I get in the booth" I ask Jhawk as I get up and walk towards the studio box.
I open the door to the booth and step it. Putting on the headphones I adjust the sound making it just the way I like it. standing infront of the microphone i prepare myself. I already have an idea of how I want it to be sung.
"ready?" Jhawk asks
"ready"
I let the beat play for a second before I start to sing. Adjusting the mic one more time
"Say she coming over late night with some bad bitches. Told her, Baby have your whole team ready. I done got so high on the Miley Cyrus, I just need some codeine just to relax. This the new vivy and millennium, wavy" the words flow out
taking a minute I continue to sing
"We don't talk as much as we used to, lately
Send a text through forever, my lady You done kept it true from the day that you met me. I don't want to get you to ruin your new relations. Showin' tough love, baby, how the streets made me"
Adding some melodys I cant help but to think of Marian. Marian. damn I need to get over already. As if on cue August walks into the studio. Trav not far behind him
"wassap nigga? got me up all early" august laughs moving towards me
"my bad, yo lazy ass needed to be up anyway " I smirk taking the headphones off and walking out the booth to dap him up
"Nice song I like the beat, who's the inspiration?" he asks smirking
"Just a female I can't seem to get my mind off of" I laugh, lighting the mood
