Dan somehow managed to hold the cup along with his other stuff that had been taken out of his bag pack. He sat on the nearest table towards the counter, taking a sip and continuing to watch Phil as he sketched.

The person behind him wasn't actually a customer but another worker. "Hi Phil."

"You're late Pj." Phil rolled his eyes.

"Just wanted to watch the chemistry between you two lovebirds." Pj smirked.

Phil nudged the curly-haired one as he made his way to the back room to see Chris who was probably taking a nap right about now.

The next fee hours consisted of the three working as hard as they could as the customers poured in. Dan ended up standing and drawing as there were so many customers and eventually he ended up giving up his seat for a cute elderly couple. Dan rested his drawing pad on the wall near the counter, occasionally peeking his head at Phil who was rapidly serving customers their hot and sometimes oddly cold drinks.

When Dan had finally finished his little masterpiece, he stuffed his book into his bag and casually entered the "staff only" door to the back.

"Oh hi Dan?" Pj smiled oddly. "Why are you here?"

"I thought you might need some help." Dan grinned. Pj was currently serving the drinks to those who were ordering in, running around the shop like a little Christmas Elf. Phil was taking customers' orders as Chris made the actual drinks, an order which was fine but tiring.

"I'll take one of your places whilst you rest for a bit." Dan said, looking around.

Pj bit his lip, feeling exhausted but knew that the one who would be most tired was Chris as he was left to prepare all of the drinks by himself.

"Chris." He called out. Chris jumped, turning around and nodding.

"What? Oh ho Dan." Chris waved, pacing over to them. "Make it quick I still got a lot of fucking coffee and macchiatos to make."

"One hour break, Dan can take your spot." Pj ordered.

Chris' face relaxed, eyes lighting up. He ran to the back room where a sofa to lounge in was, practically jumping onto it and instantly dozing off. Pj grinned. "Okay, so the powders are just there to make all the drink, the blenders there, the-"

"Pj i've been coming here for over a year I know how to make everything. It's not like I always watch Phil make them." He smirked.

Pj rolled his eyes, going back outside and continuing to serve the drinks. Phil still hadn't noticed the shift change as he was too busy writing down orders from angry waiting customers. So instead of interrupting him, Dan began to make the drinks which were fairly easy and straightforward. He was able to do this in a fast pace so that soon there wasn't that long of a queue but only two or three more people. Eventually the business died down to nobody as everybody had been served for now. Phil finally turned around, wiping his forehead tiredly.

"Sup." Dan grinned making Phil jump and knock over some napkins.

"H-How long have-"

"A while." Dan smiled. "I finished my drawing of you so I got bored and helped. Chris took a nap because he was about to pass out. Speaking of which..." Dan turned around to Pj who was limping back to them, eyes droopy and red.

"Take a break." Dan ordered, pointing towards him.

Pj simply nodded, walking to the back room just as Chris entered looking refreshed and happy. "That was nice. Well done Dan!" He grinned, hugging Dan and squeezing him. "You're such a sweetheart, no wonder Phil has massive crush on you."

Phil rolled his eyes. "You can't embarrass me by saying that anymore he already knows."

Dan grinned widely, kissing Phil's cheek. He stepped outside to the front of the counter, beginning to serve the customers as more entered. He took over Pj's job but after a few serves was already tired. Suddenly he got a brilliant idea.

"What are you up to?" Phil called out, writing down the customers' orders.

Dan was sat on the floor rummaging through his bag pack. He was able to pull out a pair of roller skates that could somehow be fitted inside.

"I worry for you sometimes." Phil shook his head.

Dan eagerly swapped his shoes, able to easily glide around and give orders, making this shift much more fun. An hour passed when Pj awoke, also thankfully looking fresher than before, no longer resembling to a drug addict.

Dan climbed back behind the counter, tapping Phil's shoulder. "Your turn. Take a nap."

"I'm fine Dan." Phil smiled.

"If i tried to push you with my pinky finger right now you would collapse. Go or else i'll drag you there."

"Kinky." Chris interrupted, standing behind them.

Phil grunted, moodily making his way to the back but a big part of him felt thankful that he could finally take a break. Only half an hour later Phil had awoken and the shop had died down by a significant amount. Customers were leaving and it was evening time, so people were starting to go home.

Phil stumbled to Dan, hugging him from behind. "You're a life saver."

Dan nodded in agreement, looking up. Hovering above his head tickling him was a fluffy green leaf thing with red berries attached to what he could instantly recognise to be Phil's headband. He felt Phil's face that was buried in neck behind him get hotter and hotter.

Dan spun around, cupping Phil's cheeks and pressing their lips together for a sweet moment.

"It's a thank-you kiss." Phil furrowed his eyebrows.

Dan pressed his finger softly on Phil's furrowed brows to stop him from looking so grumpy.
