31- Dinner with Carsons

I walk into my next class, definitely trying to get my mind of what just happened. I have the feeling Izzy and Rosie want to ask me about but since they know me by now, they decide against it. My phone vibrates in my back pocket while Ms. González says something in Spanish. I take my phone out to see another text from Nate, he asks me to go to my room and listen to the CD he left for me. I excuse myself with the teacher, of course I had to say it in Spanish.

I walk into my room and there is the CD, on top of my nightstand. I take it in my hands and seat in my desk to play it in my laptop. I put my headphones on to really hear the song. Suddenly I smile as the song starts.

I walk back to the classroom but humming the song through out the entire class.

You know when you want a day to come so bad and time seems like it doesn't even move. Same thing happens with a day you don't want to come just the other way around, it comes fast, like time flies away in a blink of an eye. That is happening to me today, it is already Friday night, which means I have to go with Luke to that stupid dinner.

I never really cared about my past boyfriends' parents, since they never really liked me, but now I have to a complete different person and make a good first impression, if not Luke is going to talk, and I can't have that.

I'm on my bedroom, looking for something formal in my closet which I don't have. I don't even wear dresses.

I hear a knock at the door and I open it to find Luke with a rectangular box in his hands.

-What's that?- I ask as he gives it to me

-A dress, I figure you're not the kind of girl that wear dresses- Luke says

-We'll see- I take the box and close the door in his face

He knocks the door again and I open.

-You forgot the shoes- Luke hands me a smaller box

I take it without saying anything and close the door again.

I open the box that contains the dress. It's ombre dress, red and black, I am not fan of dresses but I have to admit, I really like this one. The dress is paired up with black boots.

I put the dress and boots on, then I untie my hair and apply some makeup.

Izzy walks in and closes the door behind her.

-Whoa!!! Look who is dressing up- Izzy says

-I'm only doing this for Toby, it's not like I want to spend a whole weekend with Luke- I finish retouching myself

-Of course, only for Toby- Izzy says clearly with sarcasm

-I'm not fighting with you over this... Besides I have something else to tell you- I walk toward my desk and take the CD in my hands

-What's that?- Izzy asks

-Nate left me this CD in my bedroom, I don't even know how he got in here, last time I remember our only connection was Caleb and I don't think he would give him the name of my school... Well I know it looks creepy but listen to the song it's really good, now let me look to find Luke before it gets too late... Don't lose it- I take my things and run out the door
