18- Dinner with the Two Most Obnoxious People in the World

My mother, Luke and I seat in a table to eat our ice cream.
-I thought this was a daughter and mother thing... Why exactly do you want him here- I ask my mother
-Because I want to know more about what's going on in my daughter's laughter for example who she is dating- Mom explains
-For the millionth time we are not dating- I tell my mom
-She just doesn't want to accept she is in love with me, but sooner or later truth comes out- Luke joins the conversation but has to leave it when he receives a call, he stands up and walks a little far from us to take it.
My mom starts talking about spending more time together and open with each other more, but I am paying more attention to Luke, who doesn't look very happy with the person in the other side of the line.

-You were ignoring me... Again- My mom says

-So tell me Luke how long have you two been together?- My mom asks
-Since she came to the school, we just saw each other and fall in love at first time, I even lost my virginity with her, I was waiting for the right one and then she came alone- Luke looks at how irritating he makes me as he lies to my mother
-That's so romantic, Luke you can call me mom if you like- My mom smiles and I hide my head with my arms which are resting on the table
-I'm just going to the restroom and then we can go- My mom stands up from the table and walks away toward the restrooms
When Luke and I are left alone, I turn myself to look directly at him.
-What are you think you're doing?- I ask
-Playing your game, and I'm not finish... You humiliated me in front of the class, made Maddison break up with me and tell the teacher I lost my virginity to you... You are paying for all of that- Luke threatens me
-What are you going to do then? Be friend with my mother to piss me off?- I laugh as his stupid idea
-No, this is just a warm up, I have something bigger in mind- Luke smiles before calling the waiter to pay the check

My mom walks out of the bedroom and takes out her card to pay the check
-Don't worry Ms.Thorne, I already paid- Luke holds my mom's wrist and then lets it go to exit
-Oh he's so a gentleman!!!- My mom smiles looking at me like I just won and award
-You have no idea- I follow him to the exit and I feel my mother's presence behind me
As we walk our way out from the mall, I stop in a kid store when I see clothes and toys Toby will like. I wish neither my mom or Luke were here so I could buy something for Toby. I keep walking until we get to the car, then we seat and the driver takes us back to the school.
-Mom, I need to ask you for something- I think about the dance team
-What is it?- My mom asks without hesitating
-I'm on a dance team and we need outfits, do you think you can help me with that?- I ask
-Yeah of course, just tell me when you need them- Mom asks
-In two days is the competition, I'll text the guys so you can have the right measures- I say
-Okay, I'll bring them to you tomorrow- Mom says
-But that's a short time to have them all done- I say
-Don't worry, my team will help me with that- Mom says
-Thanks mom, are you going to be at the competition? It's after school on Wednesday- I say
-I'll try honey but I'm not sure- Mom tries to explain after that but the limo stops when we arrive to the school. I'm the first one to get down, I murmur whatever but I'm not sure if she hear me, I can't believe I thought she'll be there, she is never there. My mom kisses me goodbye and then squeezes me and I can't even breathe.
-Mom, I can't breathe, why don't you hug him to see if I get rid of him once and for all- I try to free me
-Don't be so rough with your boyfriend, he seems like a good kid- She lets me go and then hugs Luke but more gently -Welcome to the family, you'll be first man in the family- My mom tells Luke and he smiles back at her
-Mom, please just leave, it's already 11 PM, I have to go to sleep- I want to get rid of my mom before she says anything else
-Well, I'm leaving but remember to protect yourselves- My mom starts talking about sex, she has never told me but she is scared something like what happened to her will happen to me
-We're good mom, love you, bye- I gently push her inside the limo and close the door after her
-See you tomorrow, say hi to your revenge, too- I give him a fake smile and turn to the entrance of the school rolling my eyes, Luke stays a little bit longer without saying anything and then walks inside.
When I get to my room, Rosie is already sleep and Izzy is one her computer but the lights are up. Toby is sitting on my bed wearing one of my panties in his head like a hat and my bra put on with some papers to fill the space.
-We defiantly need to buy you toys- I say when I see the picture
Then I walk few steps to Izzy's bed, the closest to the door. She had the earphones on, I guess she didn't listen when I walked in. I take the earphones out and she was ready to hit me when I move to the side.
-I didn't know we got a murder in our dorm... Why did you let Toby use my underwear?- I ask Izzy for an explanation
-He likes it, so I just let him- Izzy replies with all the calm in the world, I don't say anything to that and walk over to my bed and Toby jumps over making almost fall.
-He didn't want to go to sleep until you get here- Izzy says
-Then let's get to bed because I got a hell of an evening- I fall to the bed and Toby throws himself next to me
