"Don't talk, Elite," Dad said and Raizo unsheated his sword.

"Don't you dare hurt him, Elite," I said indifferently to Raizo while imposing our status and he immediately stopped his movement. Tumingin ulit ako kay Dad but this time, I held my head high.

I remember Hideo's face while pleading me not to leave. It was too painful but I need to move forward and I have to do something if I want to be with him. After all, our child might be the bridge for reconciliation of our respective tribes, or the cause of a deeper hatred with each other.

I want to give my child a better future. Even though there's a slim chance, I would gamble on it. I am going to unite the Senshin and Shinigami tribes.

"You're wrong, Dad." Nakita kong kumunot ang noo niya but I continued anyway. "I may not be as strong as you but I can lead the tribe. And I'm going to."

He may not notice it himself but I'm always looking at him since I was young and I know his mannerisms.

"Then prove yourself," bigla niyang sabi at nabuhayan ako ng loob.

"Dad..."

"Bring your mental strength to its former glory and I might give you another chance.

He smiled cruelly but I can see the rage in his eyes.

"An all-out war against the Senshins."

"As the Shinigami head, I have zero tolerance to failure, that's why you're here. But as your father, it is my duty to hunt those who ruined you," sabi niya at saka siya tumingin sa akin. "Get rid of those emotions bothering you and prove your worth. After all, you're my original successor and you're much stronger than your sister. Get stronger than me, Rielle."

After all, that was the longest conversation I had with him.

But as your father, it is my duty to hunt those who ruined you.

Ahh. So this is how it feels...A father who's going to do everything for her daughter. It may not sound sweet to others, but for me, that's the most fatherly thing he said to me.
