Chapter 47- Graduation

Start from the beginning

We quickly went through two poems, the guest speaker, and the conferring of our diplomas. Once everyone got their diplomas, we all stood for our class song, "I Believe" by Yolanda Adams. Jari and Juno came on stage to sing lead with Isis, and I.

During the break before the bridge, Jari, Juno, Isis, and I started dancing. All the graduates started dancing with us. The whole audience was laughing at us. During the bridge we all shouted the lyrics until the song was over. Jari, Juno, Isis, and I bowed before going back to our seats.

Mr. Carter gave out special awards were Isis and I got a drama award and Jari, Isis, and I got a singing award. Mr. Carter gave out Homecoming Court awards (two year court members and three year court memebers). I received a two year court member award. When I got my award from Mr. Carter, I did the infamous Homecoming Court bow to the auditorium then turned and bowed to Mr. Carter. He bowed back to me. Also for special awards, Juno and Rodrick Lavgine were given two thousand dollars worth of DJ equipment. After the special awards, the band performed, Mr. Carter did the eighth grade charge, our principal Mrs. Carter said something, then we all went back up stairs to the second floor.

After Mr. Carter talked to us, we hugged all the teachers and each other. All of the girls started crying. Everyone was shouting and screaming in joy as we walked downstairs to find our parents.

"WE ARE MBC! MBC! CLASS OF 2013! 2013! NINTH GRADE! NINTH GRADE! AYE! AYE! AYE!" We screamed and chanted as we tried to make our way downstairs. When I saw Darian's and Prince's bushes, I pulled Juno with me and tapped their shoulders.

"Look! I found them!" Darian told Wendy. Everyone that came for us turned around.

"You was gay for crying." Darian laughed.

"I oughta punch you for making me cry." Kayla hugged me. Once we were all outside, I got to talk to Bella, Jawan, Diggy, Twist, and Jacob with Isis, Brittany, Juno, Jari, and the boys.

We took pictures with all of out friends and family before we actually got to talk.

"What are you doing here?" I asked as I hugged Diggy, Twist, and Jacob.

"Our sisters are graduating. We had to come see y'all." Diggy smiled.

"Hi ladies. I'm Jawan Harris. It is so nice to meet you. Prod won't shut up about you, so I had to come for support." Jawan smiled and hugged us.

"Bella!" I squealed and hugged her. She squeezed me back.

"Congradulations." Bella smiled. "To all of you."

"Thank you." We smiled. I wrapped an arm around Bella as my dad started taking pictures of us. Juno, Isis, Jari, and I took pictures with all of our friends who graduated, all of our families, and the boys and Bella.

"So where we going to eat? We're paying." Prod rubbed his hands together.

"We're going to Texas Road House." Isis said.

"Alright. We'll see you there. Daddy!" Juno shouted.

Alexa, Vickie, Yulissa, Isis, Horus, Jari, Brittany, their families, the boys, Juno, our family, and I were at Texas Road House in minutes. So was so many other people who just left Behrman for the graduation.

Everyone was talking over booths and getting up and walking around. Prince brung my phone and some flats for me and Juno.

"Thank you for getting my flats. My feet are killing me." I kissed Prince's cheek.

"I knew you'd need them." He smiled before I got up to talk to Kyrun and Harold, who were sitting next to each other with their families.

"Hey guys." I smiled.
