Zak helped me and grabbed some of my stuff. "She just texted me. She'll be here in five."

"Okay." I sighed, grabbing my purse. "Do you have everything?"

"Yeah." He smiled and wrapped his arms around me. "I can't wait until we get some alone time together."

"Did you not remember those three weeks of torture?" I chuckled, wrapping my arms around his neck.

He rolled his eyes. "You knew what I meant. I just want you and me to have some alone time."

I raised an eyebrow at how he emphasized on alone, making him smirk. "Oh? Is that so?"

"Yeah." He bit his lip and trailed his eyes to my lips before giving me a kiss. The kiss was cut off from hearing Miya's voice booming throughout the room, saying as she did a little body roll, "Ooo, get it mom and dad!"

I cut my eyes at her, making her laugh. "So, you finally came back. Didn't I ask you if you needed to go to the store last night?"

"Yes you did but I thought I had more tampons. I'm good now." She sighed as she crossed her arms. "So when are we leaving?"

"When Melissa gets here." Zak replied. "Did you finish packing? I'm planning on being there by three o'clock. It's going on eleven."

"Yeah I finished. Aren't we following Uncle Nick, anyways?"

"Yes we are. He told us to meet him at the office building. Will you guys please hurry and get your stuff downstairs?"

"You're telling us to hurry and you two are in here sucking on each others faces? Yeah, dad, we'll hurry." She walked out of the room. I looked at Zak and laughed while he shook his head. "She's something, isn't she?"

"Always." We both heard the doorbell ring. "That's Melissa. I'll go let her in." Zak walked downstairs and I began to carry my stuff out of the room, until Michael stopped me.

"Mom, I'll carry your stuff down." He offered, grabbing my suitcases.

"Thank you, baby. Do you have your stuff packed and ready?"

"Yeah. I can't wait! Imagine how many girls are gonna be there. Paradise!"

I rolled my eyes as I followed behind him down the steps. "I need to keep a close eye on you. A very close eye on you."

Michael rolled his eye as well, annoyed at how strict I've become after what he told me at the hospital a few weeks back. "You're still on that? Mom, I said it would never happen again."

"You say the same response to almost everything I tell you to not do again and I end up believing you. You just have to build that trust back up."

"Mom, really?  It was a mistake and I'm learning from it. Can you cut me some slack?"

"Michael, I don't know. We'll talk about it later. Just go put my stuff in the car for me."

"Fine." He mumbled before walking to the door, where Zak and Melissa are talking at. "Hey, Mel." I greeted as I approached her, giving her a hug.

"Hey!" She greeted back with a smile and returning the hug. "How are you holding up with the recovery?"

"I'm doing great. I have a fear of planes now, but I'm fine."

She chuckled. "You'll probably get over it when you guys go back to investigating. When is your next location anyways?"

I looked at Zak. "You didn't tell her, did you?"

"Tell me what?" Confusion was written all over her face. We haven't announced our retirement to anyone yet. We're planning on it and Mel will be the first person to know.
