When I open my eyes, I realize my back ACHES. I pull myself off the concrete floor, and stand up. I'm in a crypt. Oh-kaaay. I step cautiously over to the small puddle of clean-ish water accumulating in a pool. I gather some up, and splash it on my face. I blink a couple times.
" Oh, good, you're up." A voice says behind me. A voice I've grown to trust. Spike. I turn around, and look at him. For the life of me, I have no memories at my call of last night.
" Did we-?" I ask, my face burning. He smiles, and walks over to me. " No, don't worry. With you delirious last night, ravaging you was the last thing on my mind." I let out th breath I've been holding. " Thank God." I study his amused face, " Oh, not that I wouldn't want to be with you, but-"
" I get it." He says quietly. When I see the hurt in his blue eyes, I feel like a monster. " Oh, God! I didn't mean it like that!"
He smiles ruefully. " Let's just get you home."
I still feel like a monster.
