I held my fear back and let my laughter escape. His eyes almost looked pleading.

However, his mouth was curved into a devilish grin. My mind filled with doubt, what if he was telling me the truth? My whole body shuddered at the thought.

Bravely, I decided to humor him. "And if I were to say I believed you?" This question, seemed to take him off guard, but was gone as soon as it appeared.

 "I would say you’re a liar, but I can promise you'll believe after tonight." He stated matter-of-factly. His eyes intensified as they traveled down the length of my body. As he looked at me, my own thoughts ran wild, swallowing me whole. I was stirred from them by the shuffle of his feet. I watched as he leaned against the counter causing his muscles to ripple under his shirt. A new wave of disbelief passed over me. Not only did I believed him, but I knew he wasn't going to hurt me or he would have already. This whole situation caused my head to pound. I needed air, so I walked to the kitchen window and opened it. Leaning my head out to feel the cold breeze land on my face. From over my shoulder, I glanced at him again.
