Shockingly, Lyle hadn't argued against my decision to go to work. Max, however, was clearly giving me lighter tasks. He was only letting me serve tables with two people at it because those trays were easier to carry. I guess it was fine; at least he was letting me work.

"Table three." Kristy smiled. I glanced and smiled seeing Jake, Xander, Miguel, Keith, Alex and Zeke seated there.

I reached for some menus but a hand gripped my wrist.

"It's your break," Max said.

"I'm not tired or hungry," I argued. He gave me a pointed look and I groaned, "Max, they're my friends so it's kind of like combining work and my break," I said.

"Ha." He laughed.

"Okay, fine. I'll take a break." I frowned. He chuckled patting my shoulder.

"Good, get outta here."

I shook my head before walking to the locker room where I pulled the Jacket off replacing it with Damien's Jacket before I walked back into the diner and slid in next to Jack.

"I missed you -" I smiled as his arms circled me before they tightened into a death hold.

"Jack –" I squirmed in his arms.

"Hey, hey, you're cutting off her oxygen, calm down." Miguel chuckled.

Jack let me go and I laughed hugging him again anyway.

"I missed you too," I said.

"So, what's this I hear about a boy?" He smirked.

"Uhm -"

"I was beginning to worry, Hannah." I took the straw from Jack's milkshake and threw it at Xander as our friends laughed.

"Is it the guy from the party?" Jack asked. I nodded smiling. "I knew it! I told you you would be good together." I gave a laugh. "What's his name?" He asked.

"Damien."

"Hey! That's not fair, how come we've never met him?" Keith frowned.

"Damien?" Zeke raised his brows.

"Uhm - I -" I began, "Keith!" I hissed when he suddenly grabbed my phone.

He smirked at me as he began going through it while Jack and Alex held me in place when I tried to grab my phone from him. I let out a defeated groan as I sunk into the seat when he turned on the speaker and it began to ring.
