I get off the ground and look up at the sky and said "Why?! Why me Fate?! I hate you, I hate this stupid curse you gave me! Why couldn't you give it to someone else?! Why did you have him reject me! I hate you!" I headed off to go back to the elders. They weren't supposed to lie to me, to anyone! Why would they, why would Elder Carya lie to me! I arrived at the elder council tree and I knocked on the willow tree. Instantly I was let in, I walked in anger fuming, tainting my color crimson.
"Why, dear Miss.Dragomir, what's gotten you so upset? You're tainting your beautiful emerald aura." Elder Carya asked
"Oh well if you'd love to know- It's all of you! You lied!" I said, my emerald turning a crimson color on the whole border of my aura. Pointing my finger at Elder Carya as I said the last part.
"Miss.Dragomir you know we can't lie. What's got you thinking that we have lied?" said Elder Napaios.
"My stupid soul mate! You all said he would accept me as I am! He ran away and called me a freak! I was on the forest ground all night in agony from the pain I felt."
"Oh dear Lara, that wasn't supposed to happen." Elder Carya said.
"Apology accepted." sarcasm seeped out of my words with a fake smile plastered on. They let me continue yelling until I had calmed down and apologize for my actions, which they all accepted because they could tell something was truly wrong and allowed me to vent my anger.
"Lara take this amulet. It will lead you to your soulmate, like it did for me." Elder Carya said as she handed me the amulet. It was cool as ice to the touch it changed colors from amber and gray to a pure Violet. The true color of his eyes. The dainty chain holding a gem cut in the shape of a lock with a keyhole, was a pure polished silver.
"Is there supposed to be a key to go with it? Why is only Violet too?" I asked
"Yes, there is supposed to be a key, but only your soulmate has the key. It's only violet because he didn't accept you as his. You are two separate souls." Elder Carya said. I then started to leave, but remember something.
"Wait! One more question before I leave. He said Nymphs had died long ago and that we were only a myth to the rest of the world. Why would he say that?" I asked.
"He said that because once we hid from mortals, we hid from everyone else. No other supernatural creature knows that nymphs are alive. Only other nymphs," Elder Carya said.
"I thank you for all you have done. Elder Carya thanks for the amulet. I'm off to go find him." I said. I walked out of the tree and I took a deep breath, the crisp smells of the wood, the soft smell of rain, and scents of all the flowers possible. A smiled crept up on my face as the forest and the smells surround me.
