Chapter 1- Leaving Hell

4 YEARS AGO....

Haven was just getting to school, and already not acting the same as she always did. She took her daily pill, and everything, but something was still off.

She was the 7th grade target, she always had her nose in a book, always alone, and always being pushed around.

When Haven stepped inside she got the usual pushes, shoves, and name calling.

Once she reached her locker she grabbed all her first period assignments like usual.

Then when she got to class she went to her seat in the front, but kept fiddling with her glasses out of nervousness. Which attracted attention from her head bully; Michel Fisher.

"Hey four eyes." He greeted with a fake smile. Sitting on her desk, he continued his game. "Oh, are those new glasses? Oh they are dirty let me see them." He says, in a fake sympathetic tone.

Then he grabbed her dark purple glasses, threw them on the floor, and stepped on them with a loud crunch. "Oops sorry my foot slipped!" And with that he walked away High-fiving his friends.

Haven tried hard not to let the tears slip through as a ball formed in her throat as she felt like crying.

But the sadness had nothing to do with her crushed glasses.

When class started 5 minutes later, sirens could be heard in the distance but seemed to slowly get louder.

No sooner than later the door flew open and several police men came barging in with their guns out.

"HAVEN MILLER PUT YOUR HANDS UP YOU ARE UNDER ARREST! YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT ANYTHING YOU SAY MAY BE USED AGAINST YOU IN THE COURT OF LAW!" The police man yelled, and continued saying her rights.

  Everyone was looking at the scene in front of them with confusion and shock.

When Haven stood up she was immediately slammed against the ground by a police officer.

Then he cuffed her while she wasn't the least bit shocked as too what was happening and she new exactly why it was. She felt like crying, but she knew the consequences could have been way worse then they will be.

They dragged her out of the school and to the police car.

That day she had to stay in the cell at the police station and wait for Court tomorrow.

The next day she lost the case and was sentenced 5 years in Juvie and had to be transported to a Juvie in San Diego from LA for the crime she committed. The sentence would have been worse but they didn't have enough evidence for her other crimes.

But Haven truly didn't look like she gave a fuck right now and new what was coming already.

Her parents looked at her with hate and pity that they were the parents of a delinquent.

Her parents have always forced Haven to have great grades and we're always strict, but Haven had enough and just did what she wanted secretly until the law found out.
