"Jason look Fallon Jonas is here." the one guy said. they both walked over to us. Meg grabbed my
arm. the guy on my left pulled my diabetic supplies out of my bag and started trying to keep it away
from me. "Give it back she's diabetic and she needs it." Meg yelled at them. "Oh, is that so?" they
asked mockingly. I suddenly started to feel badly. i grabbed my cousins arm gently. she looked at me
with a scared expression on her face. she grabbed my waist when I collapsed under my weight. the
two guys took off running taking the bag with them. "It's ok." Meg told me while franticlly looking for
her cell phone. the guy working the store came up to us. "Just call an ambulance." my cousin told him
while she pulled out her phone. The clerk ran to the phone in the store. "Dad it's Fallon there was an
incident at the mall. th eclerk called 911 but Fallon needs insulin." she said as she paused to listen to
her dad. "It's a long story." Meg told him as the EMT's came into the store and started helping me. the
next think i remember is waking up in the hospital room. my uncle Nick was sitting in the chair closed
to my bed. he looked up and seen me watching him. he jumpped up and gave me a relieved hug.
"Fallon are you ok?" he asked. "Yeah, i feel better now." i told him. he nodded. "Meg told me what
happened when i got here." he told me. "I know she called you at the store." i said. he nodded. "I
brought a spare meter with me so you can hae it. your dad and uncle Joe are on their way." he told
me. i nodded. "What about mom?" i asked him. "We couldnt get in touch with her. her cell phone was
off." he told me. i nodded and stared at the ceiling. when i was finally able to go home i rushed to get
to the car. the drive home was unbearably silent. it was obvious that Uncle Nick told my dad what
Meg told him over the phone. There was no hideing it from anyone any longer. When the car pulled
into the driveway my dad opened the door for me to get out. I did so without looking at him. I pulled
the back of my shirt down and went to unlock the front door to the house. When i couldnt get it open
because my hands were shaking, my dad came over and did it for me. we still didnt say anything or
look at eachother. i put my keys and sunglasses on the rack and went upstairs. i went into my room
and put my bag and shoe's back into the closet. when my mom got home my dad told her about what
happened. she came to check on me but i hardly said anything to her. after a while she gave up on
trying to make me talk and left after she quickly kissed my forehead. The next day i woke up to As If
We Never Said Goodbye from Glee playing over my radio. i switched it off. my dad came in and told
me to get up about an hour later. i looked through my closet for something to wear. i decided on a
plad pink and black skirt with a solid black top. i slid on my sandals and went downstairs to get a glass
of water. my dad didnt look at me when i walked in. it kind of hurt. i used the hairband that was around
my wrist to tie my hair back and away from my face. i went to unload the dishwasher from the
previous night. i went to take the silverware basket out when i accidently pricked myself on one of the
knives. "Ow." i exclaimed as i jumpped back and away from the dishwasher. my dad got up and came
over to me. he grabbed my hand and looked at the cut on my finger. it wasnt big or deep. "Run some
water over it." he told me while he put the silverware away for me. "Yes, sir." i told him as i went to the
sink. i seen him stop what he was doing to look at me.
