"Why do we have to move anyway?"
"Because this is a bad neighborhood and because its for my job." My mother, Tamie, responded.
"Well, find a new job and we can move to another neighborhood in the same state." I mumbled.
"What was that? I didn't hear you."
"I didn't say nothing."
"Bri, I swear if you-"
"I didn't say nothing!" I semi yelled.

It was a long ride from Detroit to Virginia.
"Pick any room you want."
I went to go pick out the room I wanted and started unpacking when my mama came in.
"Bri, I know you're upset about us moving, but I promise you'll like it." My mama said sitting on my bed.
"Whatever."
"Well, just sleep on it. You can finish unpacking tomorrow. Goodnight." She said then walked out of my room.
I thought about how life in Virginia would be, until I finally drifted off to sleep.
