Silent Beauty: Chapter Eight

Start from the beginning

As much as it would delight me to hear her say it back, I don’t expect it all. There’s no telling when she will speak, and I am not going to get my hopes up. I just want to be happy to get this off my chest.

Most mates would have already completed the mating by now, but we were different. I could tell she had been raped by her father, so I was not going to push my luck with trying anything on her, so hugging was as far as we have gotten.

Occasionally she would kiss me on the cheek or I would kiss her forehead as a goodnight, but that was as intimate as we had gotten, and I was ok with that. I would wait as long as she needed to be ready to get close to me.

Tonight would hopefully show her that I truly cared for her and would help her to trust and rely on me. That’s all I could hope for. I just need tonight to be perfect.

I have been planning this for about a week and my whole family has been helping me. It may not seem like a big deal but it was important to me. I’m a gentleman and I want Ally to see that.

Tonight I was taking her to my favorite place in the whole world. I found it when I was about 15 while I was taking a run in wolf form and now I visit it as much as possible.

It is a lake in the middle of the forest, and it was the perfect place to think or go to relax. I hope Ally loves it as much as I do. I have a feeling she will, because it’s really beautiful and peaceful there, which I’m sure she will love.

Also, is surrounded by trees and nature which I know she will enjoy. I am also going to make her lasagna for the picnic I have planned. My mother offered to make it, but I wanted to do it myself. Along with lasagna I was going to make chocolate chip cookies which is about all I can bake without burning the kitchen down.

I know it’s not much, but I wanted to cook myself, and this was as good as I could do. Hopefully, Ally would just appreciate the effort I put into it.

And even if my food isn’t up to par, I am going to make the picnic as romantic as possible. I was going to set out a green blanket on top of a rock that is about 2 feet off the ground and smooth and flat enough to be a perfect place to sit on for a romantic dinner.

Then I was going to spread white lilies around on the blanket as they were her favorite flower. Then I was going to wait until sunset to take her to the lake because it was the best time to see the colors reflecting off the water and you could see the sky perfectly where it was clear of trees.

I was even going to wear a suit. I was really going all out and I prayed that she would like it. Now I had a long day ahead of me, while Ally went shopping and to the salon with my sister.

Ally’s POV:

I woke up just like every other day. Liam was holding me tightly against him and slowly rubbing his hand down my arm while staring at me. He looked at me as if I was the most amazing thing he has ever seen.

I have gotten used to this, though. I have been here for a couple of months and Liam always wakes up before me and just watches me until I wake up. It was unusual at first, but now it is just the normal morning routine.

I smiled up at him before rubbing my eyes and sitting up to stretch. I looked over to Liam and thought about how much I have grown to like him. I think I am in love with him, but I’m not sure. I’ve never really been in love before.
