The sequel to Wonderful Days, Wonderful Memories left us with a happy memory after all :D Did you like the sequel? I hope you did, usually sequels don't do as well as the prequel did but I think the sequel stood out well.
Ranfa and Atobe are able to have their happy ending after all! *Clap hands

The sad idea stems from...?!
It's a big transition from the funny and cute moments from Wonderful Days to the melancholic Wonderful Memories, Ranfa has disappeared from Atobe's life for a total of 3 years without a trace and there wasn't anything anyone can do about it.
The idea of Ranfa disappearing and then coming back into the Hyotei members' lives known as Ranmao came from the idea of a manga called Brynhildr in the Darkness (The heroine was known as Kuroneko to the hero. Many years after an accident, he believed Kuroneko to have died but one day a girl entered the classroom with the exact same look as his childhood crush and was called Kuroha Neko). After reading the beginning part of the manga, I was googling for an image of a pink haired girl with blue eyes and then I found what looked like it can be the older version of Ranfa...and then the story for the sequel was born :D
Ying Ranmao
Looking at Ranmao's character concept, she is someone completely different from Ranfa. Ranmao is openly flirty and would use people for her own gain and would feel no remorse if she hurts others. The only good thing about her in the story is that she's able to drive Atobe mad on an emotional level and that's about it XD
Ranmao = Ranfa
The idea also came from Brynhildr in the Darkness :) Zaizen's clue about the heart-shaped birthmark became a source of hope for Atobe to look for her. When he didn't find it at first, he was convinced Ranmao was not Ranfa. In Brynhildr, the heroine's birthmark actually moved places because she grew up and the skin stretched so I just used the same idea.
How many of you guessed she was Ranfa after all?
Atobe Kingdom
I tried to do something symbolic because...why not? Seeing Atobe Kingdom is what brought her back after all XD When she showed him Sakura Kingdom in Ch.39 of Wonderful Days, she said to him "I have shown you my world, Senpai. Can you make it to my kingdom this time?"
For Ranfa, seeing Atobe Kingdom is a significant thing to her because it symbolized he has finally reached both her world and the kingdom she told him about.
The bed scene at Chapter 9
I've actually got readers messaging me if they did the do before the beginning of Ch.9...
Honestly...I have no idea how to answer that, my dear readers' interpretation is more wild than mine. I will leave it for you all to interpret it in your way XD
Ranfa and Atobe
These two are just made for each other. From the moment I started Wonderful Days, I knew they would end up as the canon couple :D A king cannot be a king without his queen, and a queen cannot be a queen without a king in return!
Atobe vs Ranfa, final match
The last match ended in Atobe's victory. The chapters for New Prince of Tennis is not fully updated like the Japanese version is for some reason so I have no idea if Atobe learnt any new moves after the 3 year time skip.
With this, the sequel has ended! I feel proud and a little empty, I loved this fic! Anyway, see you all in my next fic and please continue to support me!
