Outside looking in,
Is this how it's always been?
Never able to find her way.
Just falling apart more and more each day.
What is it they wanted her to be?
What is it they couldn't see?
She tried so hard to fit in,
But their ways led her to sin.
Outside she's a girl of common sense,
But inside she knows nothing.
She's been through so much pain.
She feels like there's nothing left to gain.
So her path remains.
She is outside looking in.
Will she ever be freed from life's game?
Or will she continue to live her life in shame?
Will she learn from their lies?
Or will they continue to escape her eyes?
So unknown is she.
That is me.
