I take out my binder and flip it open to clean page of paper. While I wait patiently for class to start, I sit there playing with the material on the bottom of my sweater.

"Grace?" I lift my head up in the direction of the voice. Mr. Hoffman stood a couple desks away from my with his arms crossed and a light smile perched across his lips. "What do you do after school? Are you in any clubs or anything?" He questions.

I shake my head no.

"No? Well you should think about joining one. You're already a very bright student. Joining a something would look good on your college application."

"Yeah, I just, I don't think I'd have the t-time for one." I say lowly. The bell rings and Mr.Hoffman smiles and starts to approach his desk again.

"Yes well, If you can make some time I'd like for you to join something. Maybe the tutoring program we have here to help some other students out with their grades." He offers.

"I'll think about it." I respond, knowing I wont. My fingers twitch underneath the desk as people start the pile in the classroom. Aubrey sits next to me again but barely takes the time to acknowledge me, not that I mind.

Over the past few weeks she didn't try as hard to torment me. She was far too busy trying to get Ethan up her alley. It didn't matter to me though, it wasn't my business and I'm just glad she isn't bothering me.

A few periods later I'm in physics class. I had Jamie in this class but surprisingly I haven't seen her in the last week. Class was almost over. Although I had no reason to rush and leave to get to the lunch room or meet with friends like most people, I didn't want to spend the rest of my life stuck in this class either.

Instead I sneakily pack up my things and place them into my bag. While finding space to place my binder my finger come across a tiny book. I grab it out and look at the title. The Diary of Anne Frank. I flipped through the pages quietly. It was probably way overdue at the school library. I would have to take it back next period.

I slipped it back into my bag as the bell rang. Not even a second went by and almost half of the class ran to the door. I sighed and pick up my bag, slinging it over my shoulder and pushing in my chair. I walked out of the room, tucking a piece of my hair behind my ear.

I really hope I don't run into Ethan. Or especially on today, Logan. The whole day I've tried to push him out of my mind. My head hurt just thinking about him.

I walked up the staircase, my feet moving quick. I stared at my shoes as I pretty much power walked to get away from everyone. The faster I walked the more the noise of people moving towards the cafeteria died down. I almost jump when a pair of brown heeled boots appear in front of me and don't move.

Slowly my eyes look up from the shoes to the blue jeans to a tight black t-shirt to a face that belonged to none other than Lacey. At first her eyes narrowed towards me but then her face turned into an almost sympathetic look. Almost.

"Oh! I- I'm sorry! " I yelp rushing to the side to get out of her way.

"No, Grace!" She says sweetly, snatching my arm and digging her acrylic nails into my skin. I bite the inside of my cheek to keep from wincing at the pain the shoots through my body. "I actually have to talk to you about something."

She lets go of my arm once Im standing in the same position again. She lifts one of her hand and rests it against her face staring at me with curiosity.

"You know," Lacey's voice starts out, "At first I didn't understand what Logan sees in you. I still don't."

My stomach twists into a gigantic knot at the sound of his name coming from her mouth. She gives me a once over before sighing.

"I mean, no offense or anything, but why he would go from me to you is something I don't get. He's basically downgrading, you know? I guess guys will fuck anything with a pulse." I can feel my face paling as she continues to keep going. "But anyways, that's not what I'm here to tell you." She pauses, as if she waiting for me to respond.

I don't.

"Well, I just wanted to tell you to watch out." She continues, rolling her eyes at my lack of response. "Logan is a big boy, you know? It wouldn't be respectful of me to not let you know." She sighs.

"R-Respectful?" I asked. Her lips curve up in a smile before flipping her shiny hair over her shoulder.

"Yeah. I mean he fucked me over and he'll fuck you over too so don't be so quick to get close to him." Lacey snaps.

My ears still couldn't believe what I was hearing. I couldn't tell if she was actually trying to help me or if she was giving me a warning instead. It was probably the latter. Before Logan ever acknowledged me, neither did Lacey. She probably had no idea I was in her class until Logan picked me as his partner.

"Me and Logan, We- We aren't anything." I mumble, not looking her in the eye.

"Hah!" She laughs at me. "That's the point Grace."

She places one of her hands against the wall, her wallet hanging from a strap connected to her wrist.

"Don't try to make something out of nothing." This time I heard the warning evident in her voice as her smile dropped and her eyes go from innocent to icy. Her boots begins the click once again after she pushes off the wall and walks right past me.
