Chapter 13

Christmas eve ends with Blessing leaving the park at eight. Going home , showering and going to sleep. Giving her mind a break on what happened that day. Yonna wakes Blessing up early that morning , telling her to wake up. Blessing tells Yonna to give her time to get ready. Yonna says ok and closes the door. Blessing brushes her teeth , washes her face and uses the bathroom. Walking to the living room , she found an odd reason to walk to the porch. She walks to the porch and opens the door finding a gift. The card read from your first love. Merry Christmas. Blessing walks back inside , exicited to see what Jaylin has put in the box. Surprised too see , that Jaylin has not givin up on her , after all that the damage she has caused. Blessing puts the gift in the room , deciding to open it last. Its 7 am and Blessing mother still isnt up. Blessing and Yonna sit on the couch quietly. Yonna gets up , and fixes her some tea. Blessing turns on the tv and they laugh at Tom and Jerry. Tom and Jerry ends at 8 and Phineas and Ferb comes on. Havent seen this show in forever Yonna says. Me either , Blessing says. Her mother wakes up and says "goodmorning ladies". Her mother organizes the gift and we began opening. Gift opening ends at 9:30 and everyone is satisfied on what they get. Blessing goes back to her room , and starts to unwrap the gift Jaylin gave her. Laughing at his horrible wrapping skills. She opens the box , too only find memories and the promise ring she always wanted. Photos that went all the way back  to there first date. A scrap book , and finds Jaylin gesture nice. She finds a picture frame in the box and sits it on her night stand. Calling Jaylin , and Jaylin answering. She found it sweet , how he answered no matter what time of day or night it was. She didnt know what she would do without him. Knowing that he would be gone in a couple months , and she just shown him that she's uapprecative. "Goodmorning" Blessing says. Hey beautiful , you get the gift ? Yess , thank you. How could I ever repay you. Well .. Theirs no easy way of saying this. Saying what Blessing says. A new year is just around the corner ,and I think its best that we take a break. Thank you for being there for me the other day , but im dealing with family things right now and a relationship wouldnt be the best thing to put on my shoulders. I I dont know what to say. Dont say anything Blessing , dont take this as me saying bye forever , take this as a see you soon.  Just never thought I hear you say that. I know Blessing , can I see you tonight before we take this break. Of course , I would love that. I thought you would , Blessing I love you and I hope you understand where I am coming from. I dont Jaylin but I love you , I know you wouldnt do anything to hurt me and I just hope that this is the best decision is for us. Thank you Blessing , if you feel like what Im asking is too much and you want to move on just give me a call. Your an anazing girl and you deserve the best. Awwww ! Stop Jaylin. Im serious but hey ! We can talk about this later  , its Christmas and we should spend this day with our families. I love you Blessing and I look forward too seeing you tonight. Blessing smiles and holds the phone to her ear , even though theirs noone else on the other side of the line.Smiling at how easily Jaylin made her smile.Blessing gets dressed and load presents in the car. Blessing , Yonna and Anita loaded the presents and the cake into the car. They were all getting ready to go over Blessing grandmothers house , where the rest of the children impatiently waited to get their presents. Her Grandmother had an name , but liked being called grandmother and everyone else agreed. Buckling there seatbelts , Anita drives precautiously. Arriving at her Grandma's house the five kids run outside. They help unload all the presents and Blessing tells them she will take the cake inside. Anita tells the kids to wait until she gets settled and then they can open the presents. Anita takes her jacket and boots off. Barely feeling her hands , as she forgot to grab her gloves. She gets settled and pass the kids their gifts. They unwrap the presents and loved what Anita , and Blessing bought them. Cleaning up , all the gift wrapping papers , everyone washes their hands and prepares to eat. They pray first and fix the kid's plates first and then the Adults. Everyone gets their food and gives postive feedback on the food. Not many desserts , Blessing tries to figure out a creative way to cut her cake so everyone can get a piece. She finds a way and everyone gets a piece. The family becomes full and their is plenty of leftovers. Anita fixes a plate for later and tells Blessing they will be leaving soon. Meagan (the in law) brings out a bag of candy and lets everyone choice what they want. Finishing picking out their candy , Meagan puts a movie in. The movie plays until eight and Blessing heads out. They hug everyone and Yonna tells Blessing to call her whenever she wants to hang out. Blessing crashes on her bed , and showers. She calls Jaylin and he says that he's on the way I just needed to make a few stops. 30 minutes pass , and Blessing hears a truck outside. Jaylin comes out of the car , and knocks on the window. Blessing lets him in and wants to know whats in the bag. Jaylin pours two pints of icecream and spoons out of the bag. Awwwww ! Thank you Jaylin , this is my favorite type of icecream , Im surprised you remembered. Of course , how could I forget. This is the Best Christmas ever ,Blessing says. Jumping on top of Jaylin and kissing him. I have something to show you. Im exicited , show me Jaylin says. Blessing grabs Jaylin hand and leads him out of the window. Decided to try something different and eat the icecream off the room. Care to help me up ? Jaylin gives her a boost and Blessing pulls Jaylin up. They both sit on the roof and look at the city. Eating their icecream , as it starts to snow. They look at each other and laugh at how cold they look. Not caring and just enjoying each others companys. They get closer together and forget about how cold the weather is.
