A Deeper Message In Between

Chapter 6 - Double Date

Life is great  , but even greater when you have someone to spend it with. As Blessing gets closer to Holidays and spends time  with her family. She reflects on how grateful to have the basic necessities right at her hands. Early Wednesday morning , as  Blessing woke up she became excited knowing that Thanksgiving was just a day away. She planned on  being with her family for half  of the day and the rest of the day will be spent at a nearby homeless shelter. She will provide them with food and hygiene items like toothbrush , toothpaste and soap. She gets out of her bed , and puts on her house shoes. Walking around the house , she wanted to surprise her mother. She just came home yesterday , and is too tired to do anything today. Blessing contines  walking  around the house until she reach the kitchen. She pulls  out a pan and a bowl. Deciding to make breakfast , she grabs eggs and the muffin mix. Cracking the eggs on the rim she can hear her mothers  door opening. Her mother walks out slowly and tells Blessing goodmorning. Curious of what she's cooking , she looks around the stove. Then heads back to her room , preparing herself for the day. Blessing mix the eggs up and spreads them on the pan. Waiting for the eggs to cook , she grabs a muffin pan. Spreading the muffins evenly in every whole. She finish and the eggs are done quickly. She splits the eggs evenly , with her mother and her. Waiting for the muffins , she sits down. As her mother comes out the room again. This time not with the same morning look. She ask Blessing whats for Breakfast and she responds just some muffins and eggs. Sounds great Alicia says , as she grabs the plate of eggs. Blessing ask her mother if she could wait for the muffins to finish cooking. Her mother says no , she will just eat them seperately. Finishing the eggs , Alicia makes her a cup of coffee. As the timer for the muffins , goes ofs and Blessing takes them out of the oven. Buttering them , before she lays them on the table. Her mother ask her what she's doing for the rest of the day and Blessing responds that she will be getting things ready for tommorow. Alicia says okay , is their any way I can help ? Blessing ask her mother can she take her to the store to buy the supplies. She agrees. Blessing gets dress , and tries to hurry knowing time is limited. She goes to the store , and loads up on toothpaste , soap , pads , towels and an box to put all the stuff in. They check out , and arrive home. Its 1 o clock and Blessing calls Jaylin to see if he could come over and help. Getting no answer , she becomes worried. Dividing the items she has bought in all the boxes. She becomes proud of the work she has accomplished. It didnt take her long , and she prepares the food. The food takes longer , but finally gets done at roughly five o clock. She loads the plates with mac n cheese , corn bread , fried chicken , and turnip greens. Proud of the work she has done , she decides to take a nap. Waking up at 6:30 , she contemplates on what she will wear. Deciding she will have two outfits. She decides that she will be dressy for her family abd become casual for the activity. Taking her shower , and not hearing from Jaylin yet. She calls him again , and he answers. Becoming frustrated , she ask where has he been all day. He tells her he's been helping his mother. Whats wrong ? Blessing explains that she just had an long day , and needed help with a few things. After not responding , Blessing apologizes. Noticing how self centered she was. Jayline tells her its okay , you dont have to apologize when you didnt know my plans for today. I love you Blessing. Blessing starts a "I love you " war that last for five minutes until she finally wins. Jaylin ask her whats her plans for tommorow ? Blessing responds she will be attending a homeless event half the day , while the other half she will spend with her family. What are your plans? Jaylin says he will eating and talking with his family on Thanksgiving. Blessing ask Jaylin if he can come over ? Jaylin reply's yes and he will call when he's outside. Hanging up , Blessing layed in bed waiting for that phone call. He call's and tells her that he's outside. Blessing opens the window and Jaylin comes in. Putting her finger on lips , she tells him to bequite her mother is sleeping. Not too long , Jaylin grabs Blessing thighs. Pushing her on the bed , and kissing her which turns into a make out scene. Unbuckling his pants , Blessing stops him. Asking him what he is doing. Before making eye contact and pulling out a condom. Blessing lays on the bed becoming fully undressed , until she realize what he is doing. Hours and hours pass away until they get tired. Passed out on the bed , clothes everywhere they are fast asleep.
