Its December , Christmas Eve and Blessing never feels so less chrimassy in her life. So much has happened in the past month. Chris told Tasha and everyone about what happened at the movies. She hasnt spoken to him or Jaylin since that night. It wasnt like she had any chance to talk to anyone. Blessing mom found out about the movies with Chris. Her mother became suspicious , when Blessing didnt come home until late that morning. Jaylin mother says that she havent heard of that plan and that Jaylin is in his room. Blessing gets put on punishment and loses all of her friends to the rumors that have spreades around the school. For once Blessing look forward to Christmas Break and didnt want it to end. Knowing going back to that school would be a living hell. But she was exicited to go back to school as well , knowing that in 6 months school would be over and it would be summer break. With Jaylin not being here next summer , Blessing felt dreadful but couldnt wait for him to leave even though her feelings were still heavy. She figured him leaving , would be a relieve and she could finally move on. Waking up and walking to the living room, she hears a voice. Too late for her to turn around , Yonna is sitting on the couch. Goodmorning girl , this tea is delicious. Hey Yonna. Woww ! Dont seem so enthused to see me. I am , Im just not fully awake yet. Hey it's fine , how long have you been here ? Just this morning , I needed you to do me a favor. Come to my room and we can talk. Yonna following behind Blessing as they walk to her room. Blessing closes her door and pulls up a chair. Yesss ? Blessing says. I thought today we could just hang together and go christmas shopping for your mother ? That sounds fine Blessing says , let me get dressed and we can leave. Yonna leaves , and Blessing looks thru her closet. It was cold outside , so Blessing thinks its best for her to tighten up. She puts on her favorite leggings and a long shirt. Putting on boots , a scarf and gloves. Yelling to Yonna that she's ready. Walking out , and Yonna stands up off the couch. Alicia tells her to have fun , and they head out. You ready for highschool ? Born ready. Seems like you have an attitude this morning. Not an attitude , im just tired and have alot on my mind. Girl ! You to young to be tired. What have you been thru ? Blessing laughs , whispering .. You have no idea. She gets out the truck , not trying to fall. As Kmart is read on the top of the building. Being smart not to go to Walmart or the mall knowing that their is alot of late shoppers. They enter Kmart and vary their christmas list down. They seperate , and Blessing looks at the jewelry. While looking at the jewelry , she bumps into Jaylin. Catching her before she falls , she says thank you. Walking away , not wanting to run into him. Jaylin stops Blessing and tells them can they talk. Blessing told her she's busy. Jaylin says pleaseee , I got some things to get off my chest. Yes sure , I have somethings to get off mines too. Can we meet tonight ? Sure , Blessing says meet me at my place. Jaylin says great ! Its nice too see you again. You too , Blessing says. She picks out a necklace and earrings. The worker puts the necklace in the box , wrapping it with wrapping paper before putting it in the gift box. The worker tells her happy holidays , have a great day. Thank you , you too. Blessing grabs the bag , and sits on the bench waiting for Yonna to finish her shopping. Yonna finally comes out , and we get in the car. Before pulling off , we show each other the gifts we bought. Yonna goes first and pulls out bodywash , shampoo , body scrub , and lotion. Wowww ! How much Blessing ask. Only ten bucks Yonna answers back. Let me see yours. Blessing pulls out the necklace and earrings. Thats beautiful ! Yess , 10 karats it was on sale for 50 dollars. Great deal Yonna says before backing up and leaving the parking lot. How long are you staying here Blessing ask ? Yonna , looking confused .. Why you ask ? No reason , I just really enjoy spending time with you. Awww ! Well im not leaving until this weeknd. Thats good news , Blessing grabs her gift box and exit the truck . She lays her gift on the bed and gives Jaylin a call. He answers and Blessing says surprised yoh answered. Why wouldnt I Jaylin says. Thought you would let what others say about me get to you. Of course not , but wassup Jaylin says. Can you come earlier ? I have company. Of course , meet me at the park. Right now ? Blessing ask Yes Jaylin says. Blessing tells him okay and hangs up. Freshening up , she heads for the door. Yonna ask her where she's going. Blessing told her she's going to see Jaylin at the park. Oh , Can I go ? Not wanting to sound rude , Blessing tells her that it would be best if she goes alone. Yonna says okay. Blessing heads to the park and beats Jaylin. She sits at a table , and see's a car. Jaylin walks out. The sun beaming on his chain. The car leaves , and he walks towards Blessing. Its been a long time Blessing says. Yes it has , we havent talked in awhile. How you been ? Pretty good how about yourself ? I seen better. Whats wrong ? Blessing ask. I just been going thru some things , thought you would be here to comfort me but you werent you changed on me .. Thought you loved me. I do love you Jaylin , what makes you think I dont ? You cheated on me , what have I ever did wrong to you. You cheated on me first. So we starting the blame game now ? I never cheated on you. Oh really ? Whos the female you were talking to that night you were at my house. That was grandmother , she's in the hospital. My mother and I are all she has. She called me and told me she wasnt feeling well. Said she couldnt drive , and wanted me to come over and help. But when I came over , she was on the floor unresponsive. I did everything , but everything I did wasnt working. I felt helpless and alone. I know many say guys dont cry , but I cried that night. Until I got the strength , to drive her to the hospital. Jaylin , Im so sorry. You couldve waked me up and we couldve saved her together. You were sleeping so beautifully, I didnt wanna disturbed you. Im so sorry baby , I should've asked you before jumping into conclusions. Jaylin covers his face and starts to cry. Repeating to hisself how horrible of a man he is and that his grandmother in the hospital is all his fault. Blessing lays him , in her lap. Telling him that everything will be alright , looking straight ahead. A feeling of guilt creeps in her body and a chill that never leaves. Spending all that afternoon, watching her first love falling apart changed Blessing forever. Even as she repeated to Jaylin that everything was going to be okay. She knew the damage she has done cant be fixed.
