Chapter 4 - Practice

Blessing and Tasha walked  around the bleachers , looking for Alicia and  Jaylin's mother. They finally found the both of them and they met up in the hallway. Waiting for Jaylin and Chris to come out. They finally do and Jaylin give's  his mother a hug and tell's her that he's going out tonight. Agreeing , his mother give's him a hug before leaving. Jaylin hug's Blessing , and she can tell that he's tired. I suggested that he could go home and get  some rest. He refuses and want's to hang out with Blessing and the rest of her  friend's tonight. I loved the attention Jaylin gave too me , but I didnt wanna be so selfish. Not wanting to argue , she just tell him " Okay baby" . Kissing him , and being stopped by Chris. Giving  Jaylin a dap for the great effort he  has put in the team. Jaylin returns and tells him he did good too. The four of them , walk out together.Struggling to pass the crowded audience. They finally reach the exit , and walk to Alicia car. Unloading their bag's putting them  in the truck of the  car. They all pack theirselves into  the car and buckle their seatbelt's. Three of them in the back and one in the front. As they buckle their seatbelt's , Alicia ask them "Where they  are they headed? " Contemplating , they decide to go out to eat and then a room. They arrive to Applebee's. Blessing tell's her mother goodbye, and she hand's Blessing some money. Jaylin spot's what they are doing and tells her that money wont be neccessary. All fee's will be paid by him. Alicia compliments Jaylin for his kindness , but still gives Blessing a little cash just in case Jaylin changes his mind. Walking  inside , Chris is polite and holds the door open for the two ladies. We say thank you as we walk in and music they are not familar with plays loudly  in the restaurant. The waitress , Natalie greets them at the door. Telling them to sit on the bench , as she look's for a seat to place them. As they waited , Blessing lay's on Jaylin chest. He looks at her and it puts a good feeling in her heart and butterflies in her stomach. He smiles , knowing how lucky he is to have a girl like Blessing in his life. Blessing becomes sad knowing this would be all over soon. The waitress comes back. Jaylin says that they will finish the conversation at the table. Walking to their seats , they see other people sitting at their table's with delicious food. They get seated , and Natalie passes everyone a straw and the menu. She ask everyone what they would like to drink. Taking notes on what everyone says , she leaves giving time for everyone to decide what they want to eat. Blessing and Jaylin starts talking again.Telling that if there love is real , that they will meet up again someday. This is just a break that is needed , the separation between them will bring them to together and make the love we have for each other even stronger. Understanding , Blessing smiles. Jaylin , finds relieve as Natalie comes back to the table bringing our drinks.Asking everyone what they would like to eat. Everyone agreed on appetizers. They get a variety of potato skins , boneless wings , and 7 oz sirloin steak. As the food is being prepared , Chris and Tasha laugh childishly at each other. As they blow the paper off the straws at each other. Being silly , Jaylin and Blessing joins as well. They laugh until their stomach hurt  , and start to  have a conversation on whats there plans after 8th grade graduation. Chris goes first , and tells that he plans to attend a high school , before going to the NBA. Blessing says that she plans to finish highschool and go to college to be a chef. Chris , interested in her response ask her whats her favorite dish to cook. She responds that her favorite dish to cook is chicken lasagna. MMM! Sounds delicious says Chris. It is Blessing responds. Tasha says that when she gets older she wants to be a dancer , and attend high school taking dancing classes. Jaylin answering last , says he plans to move out of state for a better career for himself. He says that college is already paid for and he just have to attend high school in Pennsylvania  to be qualified. Tasha and Chris surprised , gave a hand clap. Proud of his answer. The food comes and it looks good while Natalie lays it out on the table. Steam from the steak , makes Blessing hot. It finally cools down and warm enough  for her to eat it. As Tasha and Chris share plates of boneless wings. The four of them all share the plate of potato skins and Jaylin eats some of Blessing steak. Natalie comes back with the ticket and Blessing argues about who should pay. Blessing wants to pay , but Jaylin wont let her. In the end , Jaylin wins. Chris and Tasha leave Natalie a tip for her great service. Full from the food , they forget they have to walk to the hotel. Walking towards the exit , Natalie tells us to have a great rest of the night and we wish her the same. Holding to each other tight , as they walk across the street. Seeing a homeless man at the bus stop , with a sign that read "Hungry  and need money to pay for my daughter to go to school". Traffic is heavy and Blessing could tell how protective Jaylin was as they walk across the street and his grip on her tightens. She giggles and finds it cute how protective he is over here. As Tasha and Chris have no trouble crossing the street. Even nick naming Jaylin and Blessing , slowpokes and love birds. As they make it across the street , they realize money is short and it would be best for them everyo to share a room together. They walk into the lobby , and forgot their bags in the car. Blessing contacts her mother , and she says she will bring all of our clothes tommorow. Blessing says okay , and hangs up. The person working at the desk , ask us how many rooms we would like. We all say one , and it totals out to be a $100 dollar. He tells us we can pay tommorow after check out. Check out will be between 12 and 1. Breakfast is between 7 to 9. We tell him thank you , before riding the elevator to get to our room. It was on the 3rd floor and it was smaller than what we thought. Chris and Jayline was polite and let the two females sleep on the couch. As the guys sleep on the floor. Tired from the activities of that day , everyone falls asleep. Even though it wasnt what they planned the perfect date to be. It was great to have some friends and a boyfriend she could trust by her side.
