Chapter 3 - The Double Date

  Christmas and Thanksgiving is getting closer. Its saturday , and Alicia takes Blessing to her friends house. They wait for Tasha to get dressed so they can go on the double date. She finally finds something to wear and they're out the door. While Alicia is driving down the street , music plays in the background. She turns it up , as Hit The Quan starts to play on the radio. They start to dance , as the red light turns to green. A horn beeps and her mother laughs before pulling off. 5 dollars for parking a sign read , as they drive slowly into the parking lot. The game is packed and most of the parking spot's are filled. She get's lucky and find's a parking spot in the front. Getting out the car , she make sure she has everything. Walking toward the gate , she shows the worker's her ticket. Going in the double door's, she hear's the crowd from outside. Walking in , she spots Jaylin on the court. Practicing before the game start's. Shooting three's from different spot's on the court. Tasha spots number 5 or Chris on the court as well. He was tall , and was great on the team for his awesome defense and dunking ability. 2 minutes read on the score board and the buzzer buzz starting the game. A person from each team scrambles to get the ball. The lion's or Blessing school get's the ball first , running down the court fast as lightening. Attempting to make a goal. Number 2 , on the Lions team shoots the ball. The ball goes up and gets blocked by the opposite team. The opposite team retrieves the ball , running the other way. Trying to make a score , but it get's blocked. The lion's get's the ball and start's making bucket's after bucket's. Jaylin tosses the ball to Chris as he does a alley oop off the rim. The crowd cheer's and time seem's to past by fast. As the 2nd quarter end's the cheerleader's walk down to the court for their halftime show. They wait for the cue and start dancing to a mix of Rihanna and Dej Loaf. They did a good job , and Blessing is proud that they are doing great without her. Considering that she had to quit the cheerleading team for the bad grades she made. But luckily , the coach said when she gets the grades up she can come back. The halftime end's , and the team goes back and play's. 3rd quarter sums up the score to 70- 80. As Jaylin look's into the crowd to see who he has impressed. He finds Blessing with her friend. Along with Alicia and his mother. Waving at me , Blessing passes him his drink and he get's back in the game. 4th quarter comes up, and their is no time for the opposing team to catch up. Blessing can see the smile on Jaylin's face and know's that he's proud of his accomplishments. As there's 50 seconds on the clock, Jaylin shoot's effortlessly at the goal. The ball goes around the rim twice , until it makes it into the goal. People from around the room stand up , and cheered as we won. Blessing is overjoyed knowing that her and Jaylin have waited so long for this moment. This moment that would only come once, and would be remembered forever.
