Broken Strings

Chapter 2: First Hello's

Right on schedule I hear the doorbell ring which meant the car was downstairs. I grabbed my phone, my iPod and of course my guitar. I never go anywhere without it, it's kind of my thing.

"Sup Jerry" I said making my way to the big black SUV. Jerry has been Demi and I's driver since the beginning. He is just a giant teddy bear and to be honest I freaking love him. He is the dad I never had.

"A everything bagel with butter and a mango Naked smoothy" He said handing a bag over to me. I shot him a huge grin and attacked him with a major bear hug.

"You know me too well. You got to stop spoiling me like this Jer. A girl might get used to this kind of treatment" I said getting into the car. Jerry chuckled and began driving us to the hotel where the girls and the buses were.

We arrived at the hotel about twenty minutes after Jerry picked me up. There was three tour buses all lined up. I'm guessing one is for Demi, one for Fifth Harmony and I, and one for the crew. I threw my bag over my shoulder and grabbed my guitar out of the back seat. I thanked Jerry and headed over to the buses. I saw Mason and Demi walk out of one of the buses.

"Ahh look who made it!" Mason yelled outstretching his arms for me to come in for a hug. I laugh and roll my eyes. I give Demi a small smile while being aggressively squeezed my Mason.

"Alright Mason she is turning blue. Let her go!" Demi said lightly shoving his shoulder.

"Sorry I'm just beyond excited for this tour. It's going to be amazing! Shannon opening. You both traveling around the world like old times" Mason said as Demi and I look at each other awkwardly. I break the stare first by looking at the ground.

All the sudden I hear screams and look up fast. I see five girls making there way quickly over to us. I was waiting for them to slow down but they all made there way over and ran straight into me. All five of them engulfing me in a giant hug.

"Damn the hugs this morning are intense" I said a little shocked they were acting this excited to see me. We haven't even met yet.

"Girls lets not kill Shannon before the tour even starts" Demi said smiling at how happy the girls are.

"Shannon they have been harassing me all morning asking me when you were gonna get here" She continued.

The girls finally let up and were all looking at me with giant smiles.

"What can we say? She is the infamous Shannon. We couldn't contain ourselves." I laughed at Dinah's comment.

"Well trust me Im a big fan of you guys. Your amazing. I followed you guys all the way through the competition." I said and they all blushed.

"Yeah because your girlfriend was a judge" Dinah said and Ally quickly slapped her arm.

"And that" I said laughing.

"We are so excited we get to share a bus with you!" Normani jumped up in excitement.

"Yeah it should be really fun. I have never really been in a bus with a bunch of people so it should be a fun time" I said smiling at all the girls.

"Oh its gonna be a fun time alright" Lauren said with a smirk. I didn't really think much of it though.

All the girls started talking at once and I was a little overwhelmed. My eyes finally met Camila's for the first real time since they walked up. She looked so different. So much more grown up. It had been around a year and a half since the show ended. I used to think she was cute but this Camila...this Camila is beautiful.

I realized she hadn't said anything. Once she met my eyes I shot her a soft smile. She blushed looking down to the ground and started playing with her hands.

"Girls why don't you take Shannon to the bus, show her around and let her choose a bunk" Mason said. All the girls stopped for a minute and looked at him.

All the sudden I feel a hand grab mine. I look up to see the green eyed girl smiling at me and pulling me towards the bus.

"Come on Shannon. I will show you around" Lauren said with a small wink. I didn't have time to respond before I was in the bus.

The bus was nice. Of course Demi's was nicer but I didn't care at all. I wanted this tour to be different from the others. This was the first tour I wasn't with Demi and I wanted to do this on my own.

Once we walked through the front lounge all the girls started showing me there bunks. They all had cute little stuffed animals and blankets. They had even personalized there bunks with pictures and drawings. It looked like they had already lived in the bus for weeks but I knew they were just excited. It was there first world tour.

"Normani and Dinah are across from each other. I am below Normani. Camila is over there and Lauren is below her. So I guess that leaves you across from Camila" Ally explained while pointing at each bunk.

"That works for me. Thanks" I said to Ally as I threw my bag into my bunk.

"Looks like we are neighbors" Lauren said laying in her bunk.

"Yeah, Looks like we are".

Lauren got out of her bunk and joined the girls in the front lounge.

"Shannon we are going to go get some food. Wanna come?" Dinah yelled to the back of the bus.

"Nah I'm good. I ate on the way here. Thanks though" I yelled back.

"Alright. Get settled we will back soon" I hear Ally say as the girls make there way out of the bus.

Once they were gone I took a deep breath. I could tell living with these girls there is never gonna be a dull moment. But thats what I need. I need some fun and with these girls it looks like there isn't gonna be a shortage.

I got my bunk all set up and headed out to the kitchen/front lounge. I was surprised to see Camila sitting at the kitchen table with earphones in here ears. She was writing in a journal or something. I slowly slide into the seat of the table not wanting to scare her. She looks up at me and smiles and takes one of her earbuds out.

"Hey" I siad softly.

"Hey" She smiles.

God she was gorgeous.
