"Hayley we want to talk to you," Bob says

"About what?" I ask, immediately feeling stupid because the answer is quite obvious.

"You know about what, now what's going on?" Frank asks.

"I, um, I fell down my stairs," I say making up a stupid excuse.

"Yeah right, cut the crap. What's ACTUALLY going on?" Frank asks once again.

When I don't answer, I can see the look of worry on face Gerard's grow.

"Hayley I don't know what you're doing or why you're doing this to yourself, but it needs to stop. You're not just hurting yourself, you're hurting us. We care about you," Gerard says.

"I'm sorry. I'm not trying to hurt you. It's a stress reliever. I feel so at peace with the whole thing. Every time I cut, I enter a whole new world. It's like magic," I explain.

"Can you at least tell us why?" Ray asks. I decide I should tell them the truth. They deserve to know. I'll have to explain it again to Abby at school, or whenever I next see her, but I guess that's fine.

"I guess I should tell you. You guys deserve to know. When I was 7, my older sister committed suicide. She left a note saying it was all my fault, and she left her blades for me. I used them until one of my teachers threatened to tell my parents. My dad started abusing me soon after she died. Not just physically, but mentally, and, uh," I pause to think of how to explain it, "sexually, I guess. It continued until about two months ago. It was that day when you saw my bruises. My parents called me home, so I came, and they told me they were leaving. They haven't been back since. I haven't gotten any bills in the mail, so I guess that's good. I don't know what I'll do when they come, I don't have any money," I tell them. I see a look of shock on everyone's faces, which I don't understand. It's not a big deal to me. It wasn't that bad.

"Hayley, I'm so sorry, is there anything we can do to help?" Bob asks.

"No, I'm fine. It's not even a big deal." I say.

"How could you say that? He raped and beat you!" Mikey yells.

"No, but it was my fault. I killed my sister,"

"No you didn't. Your sister killed you sister. You can't really believe this is your fault Hayley," Gerard tells me.

"Whatever. Let's just pretend this whole thing never happened and continue with this party," I say.

"Ok. Truth or dare?" Ray suggests. Everyone mumbles in agreement, so we begin the game.

"Gerard, truth or dare?"

"Truth," he says.

"What are your feeling for Hayley?"

"I think she's a really sweet person. She's very pretty and has a great personality. Any guy would be lucky to have her," he says without skipping a beat. I blush and look at my lap before leaning into Gerard's side. He pets my hair, and the game goes on.

"So, Frank, truth or dare?" Gee asks.

"Dare," Frank says bravely.

"For the rest of the game, everything you say has to rhyme," he states proudly.

"You can't do that! I'll suffocate you with Mikeys hat!" Frank yells, grabbing the beanie of the tall boys head, and trying to hold if over Gerards head. He stops soon though, and goes back to the place in the circle.

"So Ray, truth or dare, Mr. Man With Great Hair," Frank asks.

"Truth," Ray responds.

"What is your biggest fear, my big-haired dear?"

"Getting my fro wet, duh!" Ray answers, "Hayley, truth or dare?"

"Um, dare," I say.

"I dare you to throw away all your blades," he says, receiving smiles from the other guys.

"Fine, come with me." I start walking towards the treehouse. When we arrive, we all climb to the top, and I grab all my blades.

"Throw them out the window," Bob says. I nod, and throw them as far as I can. Everyone cheers, and we walk back as it gets dark.

When we arrive back, we discuss who will be sleeping where. Frank and Bob would be on the couch, Mikey and Ray in Mikey's bed, and me and Gee in his bed.

I changed into a pair of sweatpants, and a large tee shirt before climbing into bed next to Gerard. I cuddle up on his chest, and he rests his head on mine.

"Gee what are we?" I ask.

"We're whatever you want to be," he replies. I look up at him, and place a kiss on his slightly chapped lips before falling asleep.

When I woke up, I had a new sense of hope for my life, and I knew what I was going to do with it. I got dressed in some clothes I had left here last time, and went online to find the number for one of the local recording companies.

As I called, Gerard woke up. I motioned toward the computer, and he nodded in understanding. A man with a deep voice picked up.

"Hello, how may I help you?" He asked.

"Um, hi, I'm Hayley Williams. If it's ok with you, I'd like to come audition for you, and maybe talk about a record deal, if that's ok with you?" I ask getting nervous.

"Well, it's highly unprofessional, but I have some free time around noon. Come down and I'll see what I can do,"

"Thank you so much! You won't be disappointed, I promise!" I hang up the phone, and rush upstairs to the kitchen to tell everyone.

"Guys! I might get a record deal! I'm going to one of the recording companies nearby, and I'm going to sing for them!"

"That's great!" Frank yells and hugs me tightly. The other guys nod, and smile.

I make myself a cup of coffee and some breakfast, before sitting on the couch next to Gerard.

"Hey, you know the guys and I are in a band," he tells me.

"Really? That's so cool! What does everyone do?"

"I sing, Mikey plays bass, Bob is our drummer, and Frank and Ray play guitar," he says.

"Wow, that's awesome!" I reply. We watch tv until it's time for me to go to the studio.

Everyone shouts, "good luck!" as I leave. I get into Gerards truck, which he was kindly letting me borrow, and drive into town.

I reach the studio, and take a deep breath as I enter.
