Chapter 35 – Oh Crap

I froze every time Sam gasped, cried or screamed in pain, I was trying to wrap up her stomach, because her changing in to her wolf form set only a thin layer of skin back over her deep bite in her side. “SHIT! That hurts!” she screamed again when I gently tried to roll on the bandage, the problem is we knew that a lot more wounded wolves were on their way, David sent a message to Brandon through mind link telling us they were back on Half Moon London Pack territory, so I had to try and get it done as quick as possible, which was killing both Sam and me, an ache in my chest was building around my heart, at the thought that it was me who was causing, my twin, protector and best friend pain “Shit, shit, shit” said Sam under her breath, which was coming raggedly on the edge of unconsciousness again. Ash and Kelly were holding one of her hands each and looked as if they were in the same amount of pain obviously Sam was not concentrating on how much force she was using in her painful daze. Tess, Mum and Stacy were all trying to collect more supplies for when the others get back with the other wounded wolves, Brandon, John, Gabe and Cooper, who David had sent a head were moving furniture so that we had more space to lie the wounded down, and finally Grace, Emma and Sarah were sat on a step of the stairs each wincing every time Sam screamed out in pain, which was more often than they I could deal with.

The back door opened and in came few of the pack carrying injured from both sides of the fight, both packs at the moment weakest members, Tess, Mum and Stacy jumped into action telling people were to put the people they were carrying, then the front door opened to David, he glanced at Sam who now had her eyes closed breathing shallow and uneven, he went to stairs shouting up “Locus, Meeting”. Locus came thundering down the stairs Ed right behind him, they both looked around at the organised mayhem going on around me, I swap places with Kelly so she could go help attending to the others who were either unconscious or groaning in pain, Ash let go of Sam’s hand to come kneel next to me where I was on her other side. I didn’t realise I was crying until Ash pulled me into a much needed hug, wiping my tears when she pulled back “It’s Sam she’s going to be ok”, I sniffled more tears breaking my eyes lid barriers and rolling freely down my cheeks, smiling wateringly with trembling lips, you see for the first time in my life I had to think of what would happen if Sam didn’t make it through this, what if she fell unconscious then didn’t wake up, what would I do without my twin, I was drawn away from these thoughts by “you better believe she is” I looked up to where the voice had come from to see Jackson, stood watching Sam’s face, smiling slightly Sam must have heard his voice because she croaked with a dry throat “Jack...son” Jackson smiled, running his finger tips over her sweaty forehead, brushing her fringe out the way, then running his fingertips down her paling cheeks “Hey beautiful “he said crouching down were Ash had been before taking her hand, and kissing her closed eye lids, “Did we win?” she said in her dry voice again a little stronger now she had Jackson by her side.

Jackson chuckled softly and Sam’s eyes opened slowly it looked almost painful, “You can ask Erik yourself” he flicked his head to the other corner of the room, both Ash and I followed his head nod, to see, Erik being lowered on to the floor by a guy I didn’t know, as his back touched the floor, his eyes opened. He looked around quickly and stood up, grabbing the wall for support when he got dizzy, “Why am I here?” he said in a dark, cold voice, “Because you are injured, now my pack we have a meeting any of the North are free to join if well enough to attend” said David, he walked over to mum kissing her once on the forehead then lightly on the lips, Sophie, Locus, Ed, Mike, Sam, Jake and Jack, who had arrived not seen by me through all the people, came towards us, Sophie had a small smile on her face as Cooper put his arms round her waist, Mike came forward and kissed my forehead then my lips when I turned my face up towards him, Sam, Jake and Jack just stared at Sam who I think had gone even paler in the few seconds I looked away to accept Mike’s kiss, all three had pain expression which matched both Ed’s and Locus’s who were stood hand in hand, Ed’s shoulder still bandage, “Can I go to the meeting?” asked a voice I turned to see Nathan hugging Ash’s waist who was now stood up with a guy next to him about sixteen, Nathan turned to him “Of course you are part of the pack” the guy nodded slowly glancing down at Sam, with worry, why was he worried about Sam did he know her, I had never seen him before, whilst I was still watching the guy he glanced to the story were Erik still stood, something was in the young guys eyes but it gone to quickly for me to tell what it was. Shaking my head deciding to remove the guy’s emotions towards Erik from my mind I turned my attention to my twin.
