I'm Not What They Expected(Being Edited)

Chapter 12

Sam:

I walked into the kitchen that morning to find Jack at the oven cooking eggy bread; he waved the spatula at me as I came in wearing clothes which had appeared in my room without me knowing how, which was great.

“Hey, where is everyone?” I asked realizing the rest of the room was empty beside him and myself.

“Oh Ed is in his room, not sure what he is doing in there but that is where he is, Nick and Jake are in the lounge playing COD and Mike is still a sleep because he went out for a run late last night and only just got in” He explained, being the all around Mother to the house, as usual.

I nodded maybe Mike had got my clothes when he was running, I didn’t see any sort of security round the community or Half moon packs territory when I was there. Okay, grated I wasn’t looking for any but, it still counts.

Breakfast is ready Jack shouted in all are heads making me cringe as the rest of the boys didn’t seem to find that so nice this morning, okay so one buy didn’t.

“Coming” yelled Nick from the other room.

Yum Jake said in our heads, apparently not wanting to vocalize this.

“I was asleep you shit!” Mike yelled from his room. Well he didn’t seem happy, did he?

Two seconds mumbled Ed distractedly in our minds.

What are you doing? Jack asked Ed as he fiddled some more with the food.

Texting someone is that okay with you mummy? Ed snapped back. I could tell Ed was annoyed about something and him like me, well like every other werewolf I guess, chose to take it out on another person. The other guys walked in and we each gave each other the silent ‘let him sort it out himself' look.

Jack set down a plate in front of each of us and one in front of Ed’s empty chair just as a sour looking Ed came in muttering something which none of us could hear but I got the words right at the end before he sat down “Annoying Mate” and by the way everyone else was frowning at each other they all heard it to, Ed had found his mate. I guess it was not how he thought it would be.

We all piled out of Mike’s truck when we got to the school, Ed's mood had picked up a bit when I shut my t-shirt in the truck door and ripped it off so now I am wearing Nick's shirt instead, luckily he had one. We were so early and parked in the forest so no one other then the guys saw my embarrassing moment, but still, embarrassing.

I jogged up so I was in between Ed and Mike who was so sleepy that he was almost falling asleep at the wheel “Cheer up grumpy” I said poking Ed in the side of the stomach, he couldn’t help but laugh at my antics.

“I'm fine, just a bit annoyed at someone, but I’ll get over it”

As we reached the car park, Nick wrapped his arm around my waist so I was pulled against his chest and he looked over my head. “If I told you to go talk to Cole, when I talk to Lucas about setting a time and place for the meeting, would you?” He asked.

I laughed softly and kissed his cheek, not a public display of affection but a friendly kiss, then turned out of his strong arm to walk to where Lucas was standing watching our group with a very angry Jackson, an amused Brandon holding hands with Kelly, who was talking and laughing with Mary who smiled at me, I think. I looked to my right to see Mike walking beside me, guess it wasn’t for me after all.

Also with the group were Ash and Nathan who were getting closer and closer day by day, that is the way it should be for mates but I, have always loved being different, don’t do it by the book I say! As I started walking I heard Nick sigh behind me and say under his breath “Of course not” as I kept walking. The others laughed and started after us as Nick put his arm back around my shoulders.
