Chapter 38- Debate and Performing

"You ain't bout that life." Ray told Alexa. He wrapped an arm around her.

"Get your eskimo looking ads away from me." Alexa pushed him away. We laughed and quickly made it back into the building.

We got our next topic and it was an improve. We had to say why TV did more good than harm. Alexa, Thuy, and I were up against the twins.

We debated furiously against the twins and they debated back just as hard, but we were victorious in the end.

"Too bad, boys. Don't go crying to your mommy. She wouldnt want to hear that y'all lost to three girls." I pouted fakely.

"You funny, Artemis. We gonna be there at 5 to watch y'all. Cuz it's all about him him him him him." They sang as we walked to the main building together.

"You guys are fans?" Brittany asked.

"For sure! We love you girls. Too bad y'all taken." Kendell laughed.

"Yeah. We got them tied down. Know what I mean?" Ray dapped them off.

"No. We don't know what you mean." Brittany rolled her eyes.

"Aww, babe. I was playing." Ray said. They went off to talk.

"Good luck with the last debate." Kentrell said before they went by their school teams. Isisa nd Juno won theirs as well.

"We're all 3-0!" Juno smiled.

"We can do this." Vickie said.

"Minimum wage is last. We got this." Alexa nodded.

"We bringing Behrman home 1st place." Isis said.

We all got Opp. Minimum wage shouldn't be raised.

"Good luck." I told Juno and Isis.

"Good luck." They told Alexa, Vickie, and I.

Vickie and I picked which points we were going to say or reintroduce before going inside the room. We went against Lusher-- a smart, rich white school-- and we crushed them. Their third speaker was the best speaker.

"...by the flow of the chart, the Opposition has won this debate." The judge said. We smiled and shook the other team's hands.

"So this is your spring break and you came?" The last speaker asked us.

"Yes. We also had a project." Vickie said.

"And Artemis was signed to a record label and has been working hard all week to prepare for interviews and things like that." Alexa smiled.

"Wow! That's why you look so familiar! You're Princess from Unique Royalty!" The girl shouted when we were in the main building. Everyone turned to look our way.

"Oh my God! It's Unique Royalty and Mindless Behavior!" Everyone shouted-- boys and girls.

"Please, calm down! They are not celebrities today! They are debaters and supporters!" Dr. McBride shouted. Everyone strained to keep from running to us.

"Can you perform for us?!" Someone shouted.

"Today at 5 we will be at Behrman Park on the Westbank. Come if you would like to see us perform. It's free!" Jari said and everyone cheered.

We got cake and started giving out awards. All of Behrman placed in the top 10. Isis placed first and I placed second.

"And the school with both teams undefeated is Behrman!" Dr. McBride said. We all ran down to get the big trophy.

After everyone started walking out of the building. Mr. and Mrs. Razem, Alexa, Vickie, Isis, Juno, and I got Prince to take a picture of us sitting on a bench.
