The abandoned house stood precariously on the rocky edge of the mountain, surrounded by howling winds. The old wooden windows creaked with every gust, filling the desolate place with an unsettling sound.
Inside one of the dark rooms, John Woo sat tied to an old wooden chair. He struggled to move his hands, but the ropes wrapped tightly around his wrists allowed him nothing but a dull ache.
Slowly, he raised his head.
Standing before him was a mysterious figure, Their face hidden in the darkness. Only their long shadow stretched across the floor. Joon woo couldn't make out his features, but he could feel the figure's cold gaze fixed upon him.
Silence filled the room for a moment before the stranger finally spoke in a calm voice.
"You should never have interfered in matters that didn't concern you, Detective..."
The wind suddenly died down, as if the house itself had fallen silent to listen.
"Curiosity killed the cat"
The shadow took a single step forward before adding in an even colder tone:
"And now... you're going to pay the price for your curiosity."

The meeting had just come to an end, and the employees began leaving the conference room one after another. Amid the bustle, a man with raven-black hair and sharp eyes stepped out of the room and headed toward his office at the end of the hallway.
The exhaustion was evident on his face. The meeting had dragged on far longer than he had expected, and his day was far from over.
As soon as he opened the door to his office, he was suddenly greeted by someone who rushed toward him and wrapped him in an enthusiastic hug.
"Joon Woo! I've been waiting for you forever!"
Joon Woo's eyes widened for a moment before he recognized the person in front of him.
It was Ha Joon, his close friend since childhood. Although the two of them had chosen completely different paths in life and pursued careers that had nothing to do with each other, it had never been enough to break the friendship they had shared for years.
Ha Joon finally pulled away, while Joon Woo sighed and replied calmly,
"I'm sorry. The meeting was long and exhausting."
He rubbed his eyes, trying to shake off the fatigue.
Ha Joon studied him for a moment before asking with concern,
"Joon Woo, what's wrong? Why do you look so exhausted?"
Joon Woo sat down behind his desk and glanced at the files scattered before him.
"A new case... but it's different from the others."
Ha Joon raised an eyebrow, immediately becoming interested.
