 NOTE:

This is my first time publishing a fan fiction, so please remain kind and respectful! I am open to ideas and suggestions, though I might not use any or all of them. This story is a post - series about time travel and takes place after Sophie and her friends discover Elysian. Thank you for reading!

Sophie blinked as bright sunlight filled her vision.

Her hands rushed to cover her face, and when she recovered enough to look up she found herself standing alone in her bedroom.

"What on - " She glanced down and realized that instead of wearing her black leggings and dark tunic, she was decked out in her green Level Four uniform, her holster nowhere to be seen.

She couldn't take this. "Fitz!" She yelled. "Maruca! Marella!" She whirled around, but she was still in her room with her lacy canopy bed and dangling star lights.

"Keefe!" She yelled again. "This better not be some prank! If it is than I -"

Sophie cut herself off, then realizing it could be much, much worse than a prank.

"Gisela! What have you DONE?!" She screamed.

The door suddenly banged open, and Sophie stumbled back as a tall burly goblin burst into her room, his curved sword raised.

Sandor froze when he saw Sophie. "Are you okay? I heard you scream."

Sophie gasped. "Sandor! You're okay!" She sprinted across the room and through her arms around him.

He grunted. "Of course I'm okay. Now," he leaned back and put his heavy hands on her shoulders. "Why did you scream? Are you hurt?"

She shook her head wildly. "But how are you okay? Lady Gisela's trolls dragged you underground!"

Sandor frowned, and his voice sounded a little funny as he said, "Yes, and you and Mr. Vacker managed to call off the trolls and destroy the device."

Sophie paused, searching his buggy gray eyes. "We did?"

Sandor nodded, still frowning down at her.

"So then...."Sophie turned in a slow circle. "Then why am I here?" "Because Lady Ruewen asked you to get ready for school," Sandor informed her, then gently grabbed her arm. "Come on."

Sophie twisted away. "No! Something is wrong! Gisela did something and I have to fix -"

Her bodyguard grabbed her arm again, still gentle but now firm. "Yes, something is wrong. We're calling Elwin."

He dragged her downstairs to where Grady and Edaline sat at the dining room table reading papers and drinking glasses of lushberry juice.

Edaline looked up. "Hi."

Sophie stared at her adoptive mother. Her copper red hair was only half curled, and hung limp over her thin shoulders.

"What did you do?" Grady asked as Sandor led her toward them. "Sandor? What did she do?"

Her adoptive father's voice was teasing, but his sky blue eyes were dull.

"Ask her," Sandor growled. "She is the one acting like she doesn't remember anything."

"I'm NOT acting!" Sophie snapped, ripping away from her traiterous bodyguard. "I honestly don't know what's happening!"

She looked pleadingly at Edaline. Grady stood up. "Sophie, are you sure you're okay?"

"YES!" Sophie shouted. "I was literally JUST in Elysian! Keefe attacked his mother and they fell and - "

"Sophie, sweetie, this isn't funny!" Grady snapped. "Stop trying to joke off what happened!"
"How can I joke off what happened when I don't even know what happened!" She snapped back. "Gisela did something! She teleported me here or - or something!"
