It's late, and Se-rin is still out looking for food to give to her sisters. That's not a task fit for a 10-year-old. But when you are the oldest sibling and your parents are dead, you have to become an adult and take care of your two younger sisters.
She's been carrying her baby sister, Yu-ri, and dragging Mi-yeong all day and hasn't found a bite of bread.
Mi-yeong kept tearfully asking Se-rin to rest. Her feet were killing her. She started to feel numbness in her feet and was afraid they would fall off if she stopped feeling the pain. Se-rin kept a straight face and kept moving. She had already lost feeling in her feet hours ago. But she knew if she spoke or mumbled anything, she'd start to sob, and instead of making things feel better, she would make them worse.
After begging and begging to stop, Mi-yeong just stopped and said, "I'm tired. I'm not walking anymore."
"Mi-yeong, come on. It's scary here," Se-rin said.
"It's scary everywhere, and I just want to sit," the tears welling in Mi-yeong's eyes.
"I'm going to find a place to rest. Let's move from here," Se-rin said.
"NO!" Mi-yeong screamed. She started crying. "You're not listening! I am tired. My feet are hurting, and I am hungry. We keep walking. The people are mean. And I don't know where we're going. I just want to sit."
Se-rin tried to shush Mi-yeong. The stress of seeing her sister cry and not knowing what to do was getting to her.
While she was trying to comfort Mi-yeong and convince her to move to a nearby alleyway, Yu-ri started to cry, and now Se-rin had two problems to worry about.
A few Minutes went by, the sisters are still crying, and Mi-yeong kept refusing to move. Frustration hit Se-rin hard, and before she knew it, she started to sob, taking long breaths. Mi-yeong stopped for a second, looked at Se-rin, and continued to cry. The sisters had never felt this much helpless since their parents' deaths.

Nearby, the girl group "DAWN" was tracking a demon who escaped an intense fight near the national TV station they had just performed at. To normal people, they are one of the most popular girl groups to ever exist. But behind closed doors, they are an elite group of demon hunters.
The demon was desperately running from DAWN after they slayed every last demon in his group. Gwe-ma trained this group of assassins to specifically target DAWN and unseal the honmon. Predictably, Gwe-ma underestimated DAWN, as he did with all the hunters before them.
The demon's energy started to dry up, and he needed a meal to fuel up, and maybe, if he's lucky, he might be able to take on DAWN.
Loud cries were echoing in the empty streets, and the demon felt relieved, like Gwe-ma had blessed him with a bunch of humans he could feast upon before facing DAWN again.

The sisters kept crying, feeling helpless and not knowing what to do next. Suddenly, a chill crept into the girls' spines, and they sensed danger. Not knowing where it came from, Se-rin immediately stopped crying, held her sisters, and started to look for a place to hide.
"Did you?"
"I did," Se-rin answered Mi-yeong.
"There is no time to talk. We need to go," Se-rin said.
"Yes," Mi-yeong responded.
The sisters found an alleyway with a discarded empty box. "Let's hide inside," Se-rin said. The sisters went inside the box, and now that's a hurdle they cleared. The biggest hurdle they had now was how to stop Yu-ri from crying. After all, she's just one. You can't just tell her to stop.
