Welcome to the family

"Mommy! Mommy! I want this one!" Kaya said, pointing to a white puppy with crystal blue eyes in a cage with no other dog. "Okay, sweety. Go get the cashier!" Her mother said, and Kaya ran off. She came back moments later with the manager and her mom paid for for the puppy. Kaya picked up her new puppy. "Hello" She said, and the puppy turned around and licked Kaya's nose. Kaya laughed.

When they got home Kaya set the puppy down and filled her bowl with food and water. Kaya threw her a chew toy bone, and her pet caught it in mid air. "Good dog" Kaya purred, and layed down and let her dog crawl all over her. "Mom I'm getting hungry and I think my doggy needs a walk. Is it okay if you make dinner while I walk her?" Kaya asked. "Sure. Don't go far. What do you want for dinner, Kaya?" She asked, handing her a blue and purple leash and a neon green and blue collar. "Is mac and cheese alright?" Kaya said, putting the collar on and clipping the leash to it. "Thats fine. Be back in about thirty minutes." Her mom said. Kaya raced out the door and her dog was as fast as her. They bounded through the tall grass and leaped over small rocks and at one point Kaya clipped off her puppy's leash. The puppy stared out fine but later ran quite a while. Kaya clapped her hands and the dog came running. Kaya sat down on the sidewalk as her dog ran to her. "I knew you would come back" Kaya said, and clipped back in her leash. She raced over to her friend's house and rang the doorbell. "Who is it?" A female voice said. "Its Kaya, Emma!" Kaya said. Emma swung open the door and hugged her best friend. "this is my new dog!" Kaya said, and Emma dropped down on the floor and started to pet and kiss Kaya's dog.

Kaya said bye to Emma and looked at her watch. It was time for dinner! She raced home and took her puppy's leash off. The dog went to the food dish and ate a good amount then lapped up some water and chewed on her bone under the table. Kaya's mom plated the mac and cheese and set it on the table for Kaya. She poured Kaya some chocolate milk and handed it to her. Kaya took three big gulps or chocolate milk and stuffed her face with mac and cheese. "Yum" She said as her dog barked and rubbed on her legs. Kaya was so happy she finally got what she wanted.
