Snow walked inside of Kaya's room, jumping up on her bed and waking her up. Snow nuzzled Kaya a few times then walked away. Kaya got up. She rubbed her eyes and looked up. "Hey, Snow!" She shouted.  Snow came back into the room and barked happily. Kaya walked into the computer room and saw her mom on it. "Kaya, we need to talk about Snow. Sit down, here." She put her hand on a chair next to her. Kaya sat down. Her mom put Snow outside. "Kaya, this house is costing to much. Also, so is Snow. There is a house in Mexico we are moving to, but we won't be able to take Snow. I'm really sorry, but some things just don't work out." Kaya stared at her mom for a while. "No mommy please! You can't sell Snow! Please!" She begged. Kaya was almost in tears but held them back as much as she could. "Like I said, some things just don't work out. I'm sorry. I'm going to see what I can do" she said. Kaya frowned. "Thats what you always say, and it never works out! Please mom, just let me keep Snow!" Kaya had tears now and then. Her mother's face dropped. "I'm sorry, Kaya. Some things don't work out!" Kaya's mom shouted. Kaya took a step back and burst out in tears.  "No! I won't let you sell her!" Kaya yelled, and let Snow out and ran for the door.

Kaya sat under a tree and petted Snow. Their stomachs  growled as they were becoming very hungry. Kaya was regretting running away. She looked at the street signs, but was very far away from home. She began to cry. Not because of running away, but because of her mom selling Snow. "Snow I won't let her take you. I'm going to try to convince her. I can't leave you back at the shelter. Snow you have to stay by my side no matter what." Kaya cried, pausing her speech to catch her breath. Snow got up and started barking. Barking like crazy. The low barks were followed by a low growl. Kaya became suspicious. Usually, Snow didn't bark like that. All of a sudden, a lady walking her dog ran right past Kaya and Snow. It growled but the owner pulled it hard then they continued walking. Kaya's  hair fell into her face but she ignored it. Snow bounced around, toeing the leash around Kaya. Snow pulled on the leash and Kaya followed. Snow leased Kaya back home. Kaya pulled away when they were at her doorstep. "No Snow. She's going to sell you. Stay by me and be careful" Kaya said, then opened the door. Her mom was packing. "Kaya! I never want to see you leave this house again without my permission!" She yelled. Kaya frowned. "Get packing, we are dropping Snow off tomorrow and then we will be going to our new house!" She said excitedly. Kaya shrugged. She took off Snow's leash and collar and hang it up. She began to pack, holding back tears as much as she could.
