Chapter 8

Ok so I based the location of this story on the lake house that my family owns. The cover photo for this chapter is what the lake looks like. I am actually driving up there right now and I figured why not write a chapter because I haven't in like 2 months and I am really sorry about that. But I am going to try and post more often I promise!

NARRATORS POV
It's been a few weeks and Ethan and Parker are closer than ever. Summer is almost over there is only about two more weeks left until they both have to get back to their normal lives and go their separate ways for a little while.

ETHANS POV

So this weekend my parents are coming up to the lake house and I can't wait to introduce Parker to them. Parker and I are getting pretty serious so I thought it was about time that she met my family, besides Grayson because she has met him plenty of times this summer. So I decided that I am going to make dinner tonight and invite Parker to come over and eat with us. I am going to attempt to make spaghetti and meatballs but I really can't cook that well so we will see how that goes. I decided to text Parker and tell her about my family coming and how I was cooking:

Ethan and Parkers convo

Ethan: Hey so my parents and my sister are coming up to the house and I am going to make dinner. I wanted to know if you wanted to come over so you can meet all of them!?

Parker: Sure I would love too!! But Ethan what are you cooking because the last time you tried to cook you almost set your eyebrows on fire😂

Ethan: I am making spaghetti and meatballs and it is going to be delicious you just wait!!

Parker: Okay well good luck I will see you later💛

PARKERS POV

So Ethan just invited me over to meet his family and I am not going to lie I am really nervous about the whole thing. I want them to like me. Part of me wants Ethan to set his eyebrows on fire so there is something to talk about😂. Anyway I need to go pick out what I am going to wear. After making a mess of my room I finally found the perfect outfit. I was wearing a white lace sundress with silver sandals and silver jewelry. Since it was like 90 degrees out and I was in no mood to do my hair I just put it in a messy bun. After like 2 hours I get a text message from Ethan:

Ethan and Parkers convo

Ethan: Parker I need your help you need to get over here right now

Parker: walking over now. What's wrong are you okay?

Ethan: Yea I am fine it's the meatballs they they.... aren't really meatballs they look like meat patties they won't stay in a ball and the spaghetti is stuck to the pot and the sauce tastes like a shoe and is burning as we speak

Parker: hahaha I'll be there in like two minutes come and open the door😂😂😂

Ethan's POV

I had sauce all over my face and the kitchen was a complete mess. Thank god Parker came over.

NARRATORS POV

"THANK GOD YOU ARE HERE YOU ARE MY ONLY HOPE!" Ethan said

"I love you so much Ethan" Parker said hysterical laughing at Ethan who was wearing a flower apron with sauce all over it

Parker walked into the kitchen and saw the mess and couldn't help but laugh. Ethan stood their embarrassed at first and started laughing. Parker dumped everything Ethan tried making because there was no way she could save any of that food. She then grabbed her phone and turn on music and said lets start cooking. Luckily Grayson knew what a terrible cook Ethan was so he bought extra of everything.

They started cooking and goofing around. After like 45 minutes they were finally done and everything smelt amazing. They set the table and got everything ready. Ethan's parents were going to be there any minute.

ETHANS POV

Watching Parker cook had to be the cutest thing. The way she was so focused on it and how she would laugh. Everything about her was so beautiful I couldn't help but stare.

NARRATORS POV

Ethan and Parker were sitting on the couch and then the door bell rang.
