Babysitting(Young Justice Short Story)

Baby Robin

While the entire league was on a mission, Roy was stuck watching their little apprentices. Roy went to pick up crying 4 year old Robin.

"Robin, come on, quiet! Why are you crying?" Roy groaned. Roy ALREADY changed his diaper twice, gave him a baby bottle with milk in it, and tried rocking him to sleep but he wouldn't fall asleep.

This earned him a tiny foot to his face, the foot smacking his jaw.

"Ow! Okay, I know your Batman's child, but come on! Your only 4 years old!" Roy complained. He had made everyone else fall asleep, but Robin wouldn't fall asleep.

"Do you want to.. Uhhh... Watch youtube videos of things exploding...?" Roy asked. He had no clue what Robin liked. Robin continued wailing.

"I want Batman..." Robin sniffled.

"Don't worry, Batman will be back soon." Roy assured him, but then whispered grumpily; "He better be."

"You really think so?" Robin paused in his crying, looking up at Roy as Roy cradled him.

"I think so. He should be back really soon." Roy smiled.

"Okay." Robin stopped crying as Roy wiped his tears, yawning.

"Now, how about a nap? Batman will be here sooner if you take one!" Roy smiled again, rocking little Robin.

"Okay... But just for 5 minutes..." Robin yawned, and fell into a peaceful sleep. Roy sighed, and laid him into his crib.
