The Calling

I hear a sound

So distant, so true

It's my guide, it tells me

Of what I must do

I must serve people

Is what it mandates

To save innocent lives

From the men of my nightmares

It will never be easy

Of that I'm sure

But also I know one other thing

It's where I will finally belong

I know it sets me apart

I know it makes me stressed

I know it makes me alone

But it's what I do best

It's a burden I must carry

Each and every day

If I don't I'm afraid

It will haunt me to my grave
