The thing I want most
The life in suburbia
The peace of normalcy
The happiness of community
They say if you want it
You can get it somehow
And yet I doubt it
That my wish will come true
A wife I love
Each and every day
And she'd love me too
In her own beautiful way
Children to nurture
To love and to hold
The thing I'd like most
If only, if only
The future is dark
Abysmal and grim
For I know the chances
Of my dreams are slim
