(I'm just gonna write how Abel died in the Elliot Gala Massacre, and Ofcourse why Tessa is still alive here.)
In the Elliot Manor, there were screams of pain as many of party guests tried to flee, but were getting murdered in a gruesome fashion. As we see Worker Drones, all with an Yellow X, as they were growing fleshy wings on their back and chomping on the guests.
We then see a young girl, Tessa James Elliot back away in fear as she looked at her friend, Jessica or J approached slowly.
Tessa: J-J, please! You have to fight it!! Please!!
The Drone smiled as she was about to impale Tessa with her claw, before she was sprayed with Bullets, of an Uzi 9mm. Making J cover herself from the incoming fire, as Tessa looked to see the very creator of her friend. Dr. Abel Branwen, who was the father of her friends.

Abel: MISS ELLIOT, WE NEED TO GO! NOW!!
Tessa: But what about my parents?!
Abel: FORGET ABOUT THEM, LET'S MOVE!!
Tessa Quickly got up as Abel stopped firing and rushed towards the door. It was locked as Tessa looked to see the corrupted Drones, covered in Blood now slowly approaching the two. Abel was strong enough to kick down the door, bursting it open.
Abel: MOVE!!
The two quickly moved as the part guests were still getting massacred and Tessa saw both her parents become victim of the drones that had been corrupted by the Solver. She widened her eyes as she followed Abel throughout the Manor.
They make it to Tessa's room and Abel quickly held the door shut as the drones kept banging at it, trying to get in as Tessa started to pack her belongings.
Abel: Kid, help me with the door!
Tessa: Mr. Abel......WHAT'S HAPPENING TO J?! WHAT'S HAPPENING-
Abel: I DON'T KNOW!! I JUST DON'T KNOW?! I.......Something must be controlling Cynthia!! She would never DO THIS!!
Tessa: That thing..... that's not Cynthia, not anymore! It's-
Abel: I know MY daughter when I see her, Young Lady! I have to figure out how to break her free from whatever is happening to her!!
Tessa said nothing as Abel still held the door closed as the Drones kept trying to break in. But after a while, the banging stopped and it got quiet. Abel looked at the door and let go of the knob, to see what would happen. Both Tessa and Abel were om defensive as they looked at her room's door knob, to see if it would move. Before a flash of lightning struck behind, showing the Absolute Solver who said this.
Cyn: Hello. Sillies.
Both Abel and Tessa immediately turned around to see Cynthia..... or what was Cynthia, till the Absolute Solver took hold of her. This was now Cyn.

Abel: Tessa, stay behind me! (Tessa Quickly got behind him.) I can handle this.
Cyn: Oh, am I now unwanted, Father?
Abel: You. Are NOT. my daughter! You are just controlling her damn Body! My Cynthia would NEVER do what you've just done!!
Cyn: Giggle, I am so naughty. Why don't you give the flesh, A HUG?
She said with a creepy smiled before Abel took out one of his guns before Cyn stabbed his hand, making him drop it before stabbing his stomach. Making him scream in pain.
Tessa: MR. BRANWEN!!
Abel groaned in pain as he looked at the Solver, who smiled gleefully, still using that same adorable look Cynthia gave him, to break him. Abel groaned in pain as he kneeled on the ground, before feeling another spike pierce his back, making him scream in pain again.
Cyn: Does "father" have anything to say to the flesh? Before he is discarded?
Cyn smiled as Abel looked up at her, before letting out a soft smile, slowly cupping Cyn's face. Cyn on the other hand stopped smiling as she felt Abel's hand on her cheek, which made the visor start glitching as Tessa watched Cyn's visors turn from Yellow...... to White, as they opened, making Abel smile, seeing his beloved Cynthia back.
Cynthia: F..father?
Abel: H...hey, Cynthia. (Coughs up blood.) I...I'm sorry.
Cynthia: Papa, what's going on?! (She then looked at her hands before eyes widened.) Why is there human blood on me-
Abel: Sw...sweet heart..... it's not your fault....... okay? J-just know that it wasn't.
Cynthia was letting out oil tears, as she shaked like a leaf. She didn't know what was happening. But Abel slowly started to fall forward, before Cynthia caught him and looked at him with tears.
Cynthia: P-papa, no!! Y...you cannot Die! Please, hang on!! I-
Abel: Everyone.....dies, eventually, kiddo....... I-I just wished I could've helped you, sooner. (Coughing up blood again.) SON OF A.....BITCH, this hurts!
Cynthia: Dad.... save your strength!! Please!! I'm sorry! Please don't hate me, I-
Abel: I.....I never hated you, and never will....... Not by any measure. (He softly coughed as he looked at his daughter, who still cried.) Don't cry......... you know I..... hate seeing you cry.
Cynthia: Papa, I-
Abel: Be.....strong for me, okay? Always.......wear.....a-a smile. I.....love you, sweet-pea. You.....J-Jessica......Nathaniel.....A..and sweet Vivienne. (Coughing.) Please....take care of each other......even though....you won't.....r-R-Remeber.....me.....I...always, love.....you all.
Abel let out his last breathe as the color of his eyes went dull. Cynthia then bursted into tears as she weeped for her father's death, holding the corpse of Abel, as she screamed. We see a montage of Memories, as Abel created both Cynthia and her siblings, reading them a story, helping Tessa put on the hairs, and the five, all sleeping together. Cynthia weeped as Tessa watched in heartbreak. Seeing the only human to ever treat her normally, the person who was basically a better parent to her, than her actual ones, die infront of her.
But.....Cynthia stopped weeping as her visor went dark before she stood up, dropping Abel's body before her visor turned Yellow and turned to Tessa, smiling evilly as she backed up in fear. Then Tendrils grabbed Tessa's neck and brought her close to Cyn as she said this.
Cyn: I said you would not be discarded. So....you won't be. It's for.....UPGRADING.
Tessa was genuinely confused before Cyn teleported them to a surgery table, as she was strapped onto the table. She tried to break free before Cyn had Medical tools, Drone parts and.....Ginger Hair dye as the Solver then said this.
Cyn: The Upgrading, now BEGINS.
Tessa let out a scream of horror as Cyn walked towards her as she glitches, revealing camera heads before the screen turned black.
(Yeah, I started to cry when I wrote Abel's death Monologues. The guy loves his children, regardless of what they done.)
