"Hold your breath and dive into the past"
Annika
Alarms ring*
"Umm. What the hell, just stop!" I murmured in a sleepy voice. In the whole world, I just hate three things. First, lies; second, when someone disturbs me while I'm eating; and third, when someone ruins my beauty sleep. I snooze the alarm while keeping my eyes closed, and then the realization hit, "Oh damn..!!! Not again, please." I faked crying as it was the first day of school after the summer vacation, and I decided to wake up early. However, on the very first day, I failed. "Why didn't you wake me up? It's? It's 6:30. How am I going to get ready in just 30 minutes?" I yelled from my room. My sleep vanished when I saw that I just had only half an hour to get ready. Mom shouted from the kitchen in a teasing tone, "You really wanted to go in the school van, right? So I thought you would wake up by yourself only?" Uff, my mom and her habit of teasing me always at the wrong time. I shouted, "Mom, is it time to tease or give me taunts?" I started fake crying. "Now stop acting, and hurry up. If you missed your school van, then you will be responsible for your father's anger."
Dad came while rubbing his eyes. "Oh god, why are you both shouting in the early morning." said in a frustrated voice. "Your spoiled princess can never be on time and then just shout," Mom yelled from the kitchen. I was in the bathroom, but how could Annika Sharma lose an argument? "I am listening to all your gossip," I shouted to let them know that I still hadn't lost the argument. "Then don't listen, and get ready fast," Mom yelled back. Urgh. I can win arguments with the whole world but not with my mom. She knows my every strategy. I quickly took a bath and started to get ready. I played my favorite rap song while combing my hair. "Like mother like daughter," I heard Dad murmuring, but I just smiled at their compliment because it's not a lie after all.
[ 7:00 am Annika waiting for the van ]
"Oh god! I asked them for the school van, and they looked for a bullock cart. How much time will it take? It's already 7:00 am. Oh, gosh, is it coming at the speed of a bicycle or what?"
I groaned as I am that kind of person who can make others wait but can never wait for others. You can call me Daddy's princess, but it is what it is. After waiting for 15 minutes, I finally saw a school van coming, and I could sense that it was the one for me, as my dad had already explained its appearance to me. The van stopped right in front of me, and the gate opened. And a cutie pie girl was sitting near the window, and I guess she was the one who opened the door. I stepped into the van. "What's your name, sweety?" I asked in a polite tone. "Pihu," she answered with a huge smile on her face. A smile appeared on my face, too, automatically.
"Thank god! Finally, something good happened. She is so cute. I can't control myself to pull her fluffy cheeks, but huh, no! it's too early to show my true colors to her." I giggled as the castle of my dreams broke by her voice, "What happened to you?" She asked in confusion. I think she heard me murmuring. "Nothing. You are of which standard?" I tried to change the topic. "I am of 6th standard, and you? Oh wait, I forgot to ask your name, too. What's your name?" Pihu asked with embarrassment and a cute smile on her face." I am Annika, and I am of 11th standard," I replied with a smile.
Pihu's eyes widened as she heard my reply. I observed the confusion on her face and asked. But she didn't reply. After insisting for a long time, she finally answered. "I thought you were of 8th -9th standard because of your height. " Wait, what? I definitely wasn't expecting that answer. "Haw," I acted angry at her and turned my face in the opposite direction, pouting to show that I was upset with her. She got tense and tried to convince me by making a puppy face and saying 'sorry' in a cute, childish voice. When everything else failed, she then tried buttering me. "I thought you were younger because of your cuteness, sissy; you are too cute as compared to the other girls of your age," she winked while saying this. The skill of buttering at this age wasn't supposed to be this perfect, but she did her job really well. After listening to her, I burst into laughter: "Oh, gosh, I thought you were just cute, but now I know you're much cuter than I thought." I chuckled. We both laughed out loud.
