Fold, stuff envelope, seal in slip, wet, and close. I hated sending invitations. Lauren and Alani didn't show much interest in the occupation either. "I guess this why were here." Alani said. "Since she gave us the invitations early for approval, she wants us to send the rest of them out."

"Never go to a wedding that you are invited to six months before." I chuckled. Lauren rolled her eyes. She dabbed the glue with a wet napkin. "Kendra is really lazy if she's making us do this. How many people are invited?"

Lauren sighed. "Over a thousand."

I checked my watch. "How many have we finished in the hour we've been sitting here?"

"285." Alani pursed her lips, looking at the stack of cream-colored envelopes in the mail carrier box. "I hate life."

"No, you don't." I corrected her. "You hate Kendra."

Alani smiled at me. "That's right."

We sat in my room on the floor around the coffee table, feeding invitations with fancy handwriting. "Gotta love weddings." I murmured, shoving another RSVP slip into the envelope.

"I need fresh air." Lauren sighed. She got up and went to the balcony.

I chuckled. "Who's outside today?" I asked. I often found the boys in their room across from me. I was neutral on the whole situation. I was sure Kendra thought it was torture and I hated it. Lauren and Alani thought of it as a fun advantage that could easily be used for seducing. They were right of course.

"Both of them." Lauren said and slid the door open. "Hey, guys." She waved to them. "We're just stuffing envelopes with the lovely invitations you and Kendra picked out. It's a lot of fun." Lauren stuck her head in the door. "No, it's not." She mouthed and slightly shook her head.

"I wanna talk to them!" Alani jumped up and said. I laughed. "Hey, Aiden. Hey Christian." She called over the balcony.

"They're right there, Alani. Don't yell, please." Lauren winced. Alani just laughed.

One of the boys said something. "She's in here. She just doesn't want to get up." Alani answered. She peeped her head back in. "Aiden and Christian say hi."

"Tell them hi." I chuckled at the lively girl.

"She says hi!" She called and after a second, her head peeped back in. "Aiden is wondering why you don't want to talk to them."

I rolled my eyes and stood up. I fixed the bustier top I was wearing. It ended at right below my belly button. "I never said that, Al." I heard Aiden when I pulled the door wider so I could get out. It wasn't too dark outside. It was about six at night. Kendra had left for dinner, telling us that we had to do this entire sending invitations thing.

Alani rolled her eyes. "You were wondering." She claimed and crossed her arms.

"Why are you dressed like that, Jordyn? Have a date?" Christian teased.

So I was kind of dressed like I had a date tonight. A jean jacket, the peach pink bustier top, and the tight, high-waisted skinny jeans implied that I had plans. "Totally, Christian." I said with a tone that dripped sarcasm. "I'm meeting him in Alaska and we're going to go penguin sliding." I exaggerated.

"Sounds fun." Christian smirked.

I chuckled and leaned on the railing. "No, the bride went out shopping. We have to get the invitations ready, so she asked us, as her bridesmaids, to do it for her. It's the 'bridesmaid' thing to do." I air quoted. "I was hoping to go out into town and shop myself. But y'know, things don't go the way they planned... Plus, I don't have a car."
