When Adam attacked the Hotel, after Emily Fell, he arrived late, and saw that Charlie was severely injured by Adam's Axe. He let out the anger he's been hiding, giving Alastor and Emily enough time to get her to safety as Lucifer unleashes his full anger on Adam and his Exorcists. Adam was eventually weakened by Niffty, allowing Lucifer to incinerate the failed creation. After that he shouted at the Exorcists to return to Everlight and never return.
After the Hotel was rebuilt, he was still in anger as he cursed Adam and his band of whores for harming both his children. He wanted to go up to Heaven and slaughter every one of those filthy angels, himself. But suddenly, Lithlad had arrived and calmed him down. His wife then explained to him of what the Legion plans to do with hell. He spent the next years preparing for war. After Galbatorix's arrival and the birth of his Grandchildren, he took the offer and joined the Order in the war effort against the Followers of Ruination and Legion of Creation, with the aid of the Forces of Chaos.
When Adam returned with the New Exorcists, now aiding the Order and the Chaos Syndicate, Lucifer was assigned to watch him incase he didn't. Even though Adam got what he wanted, being freed from the Legion's Creation, he was under Lucifer's watch. And he gave VERY. CLEAR WORDS to Adam. "Until this is all Over, ADAM. You are but a DOG on a Leash. I say bark, you bark. GOT IT?" The Two still have their Bitter rivalry after the events that happened years ago.
Lucifer carries a complex mix of goofy, theatrical, and witty on the surface, contrasted with the Anger of Hell, Sadness and someone who takes pleasure in causing chaos and destruction. He's only in hell because he lost to God and won't hesitate and will Gladly remind those who fell to hell in the first place.

Flight: He can summon six black wings with red eyes along the wingspan and fly with them.
Demonic Transformation: He can transform into various animals, such as a snake, horse, or octopus, to fight.
Pyrokinesis: He can manipulate and create balls of fire at will.
Shapeshifting: He can shapeshift his form into other animals and can also spawn horns on his head.
Dominion over Hell: He is the King of Hell, the ruler of the Pride Ring, and has immense authority over other demons.
Creation: He has the ability to bring inanimate objects to life, such as creating Razzle and Dazzle from plushies for his daughter.
Matter manipulation: He can manipulate matter, as shown when he erased a chandelier with a tap of his staff.
Intelligence: He is a highly intelligent and cunning being, but he is also childish and whimsical in his demeanor.
Musical Talent: He is a gifted musician and can play various instruments, including the fiddle and the accordion.
Craftsmanship: He is skilled in crafting objects, such as the creation of rubber ducks.
