I was born to live in the dark
To be alone
And to have a bite as destructive as a shark
This helps to make me alone
I want to be in the light
To prance around and play
But others would run when they caught sight
Of when I came out in the day
No one would care about me
No one would be nice
They would just run from me
Like scared little mice
I finally get the courage to step into the light
Many gawk at me
But one little girl doesn't flinch at the sight
And skips to me happily
She grabs my hand
And smiles up at me
She shows me her play land
At least one person isn't scared of me
