Chapter 32- Harvest's Wrath and fall

He glanced over at the proxy of King Zeus and with a slow sigh, he dropped both Karlee and Avery on the rock. "Fine." he stated. "This isn't over on my end."

Karlee pulled herself up, breathing heavily "You killed Lele!" She exclaimed. The Proxy of King Zeus lifted it's hand and was struck by lightning, it didn't seem to be affected. It pointed to Karlee.

"Deminides. Do not attack." She stated "I will have to harm you if you continue with this attempt to attack."

"I dare you to stop me." Karlee stated, her voice echoed like it spoke for thousands, not just her. It was like a queen speaking for her people. Her voice carried so much weight that he had to kneel, even he could feel the weight her words carried, and it was such a heavy burden.

"I have to" The proxy of King Zeus held out its hand "That is Lady Demeter's favorite child. You can not hurt him." A lightning bolt came from it's bracelet and went straight for Karlee.

"Oh,shut your mouth. We both know that's bullshit" Karlee stated. She held out her arm as vines and flowers rose out from the area and wrapped around her arm, then around her body. They formed into a suit of armor that covered her mouth and nose "I know who you all are, you are not even children of the gods." She ran at Scar Witaker and vines lifted up from the sea, it was like she was overriding anyone else in the area.

One of the vines shot towards the lightning bolt and it intercepted the lightning bolt. The moment that the vine met the lightning bolt-

"BANG!" he covered his ears, it reminded him of the sound of a gun, he remembered hearing it during a school lockdown when he was 10, the sounds he'll never get out of his head from that day. He looked towards where the vine and lightning bolt had collided. There were falling flowers and burning vines that fell between Karlee and Scar.

"We need to get Trenton" Avery muttered "I think he's the only one who can stop them." Avery pulled out their phone and started to message something "I'm not strong enough to stop them. I don't even have a king's voice to try and make them listen" Their eyes were wide and their fingers flew across the phone screen to type out a message and sent it. "I hate to pull them from his intership with Herodotus but this needs to be stopped."

He grabbed his cane and tried to stand up. The moment he placed a foot on the ground beneath them, he could feel the divine power that radiated from her- vines rose up and forced him back onto his knees, tying his hands together like a pair of handcuffs. It then wrapped around his ankles, which kept him still and helpless only to watch.

Karlee tilted her head and vines shot up and blocked another lightning attack from the proxy of King Zeus. Each time the Vines met with the lightning, a loud bang rang out across the area, one that sounded like a gun being shot.

"We have to stop them!" Avery exclaimed "This wasn't supposed to happen-" it looked terrified "Trenton isn't going to be able to get here on time"

"Bang!" He jolted his head and flaming vines burned at Karlee's feet as lightning shot at them again, yet Karlee walked right past them, the wind made her curly brown hair go in front of her face.

She walked towards the proxy of King Zeus, each time that it would throw lightning at Karlee, the vines would intercept the bolt before it could reach her, catch on fire and fall, leaving Karlee unharmed. Her flowers were rapidly decaying as she walked towards it. The now blackened petals marking her path across the rock.

He closed his eyes and focused, trying to overwhelm her divine power over his own and have the vines release him. He should be stronger than her, he was a child of the older order and a prince. He pushed all his divine power into the vines that captured him, trying to make them release him. but that was not what happened.
